2007 Fabia 3 Cruise control not working
hutchysrs50 replied to hutchysrs50's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Strange you ask after 2 years, I just sorted a few things last night I’m going to try this week. i’ll keep you informed -
They have a perfect & legal beam pattern. You can use halogen bulbs, xenon bulbs or LED bulbs so would be legal. Thats that side of things, if you wanted to get upset it’s illegal to use a hid kit if it didn’t leave the factory with it, same as any brighter bulbs, EGR deletes, low screen wash etc etc!

Yeah I’ve done a few sets now. I sell them fully made up so you pick the style and design you want and I build them and post it to you as complete units.

It’s abit of an awkward job to be fair, if your both doing it for the first time it’ll probably take you the full day casually working to remove and refit a new turbo.

New kitchen - Howdens or Magnets? ....or?
hutchysrs50 replied to hutchysrs50's topic in Off Topic Chat
Yeah the kitchen has been finished for a good few years I used Howdens in the end, few years on everything is still perfect as when it was fitted. Dont think I have any complaints, nothing sticks out looking back other than I didn’t use them for electrical appliances, seemed expensive and poor quality compared to others -

I have a few sets and some carbon fibre inserts I got made as well for the Depo oem xenons or Chrome / gloss black / matte black
-
Glad to see you got it sorted mate. sadly the size of the bolt and pitch of thread, the torque figures don’t add up so they always strip. - as well as when you remove the bolt all the excess dirt and brake dust damage the threads in the first place. when I do mine I just tighten them with a normal half inch ratchet and then an extra nip with the power bar then check again after a few miles and heat cycles

Front Brake Banjo Bolts & Washers
hutchysrs50 replied to 247's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
You can buy proper clamps to put on the flexi part of the hose. I made some blanks to use to clamp the system off. You can also press the brake pedal and hold it with a pry bar or similar wedged on the drivers seat which will stop any fluid from leaking out. So that’s 3 methods you can try -
Front Brake Banjo Bolts & Washers
hutchysrs50 replied to 247's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I habe a box of cooper washers, I just picked two from the box that fitted. its a No No, let the copper washers crush and do the sealing, no need to really tighten the banjo bolt massively. -
Front Brake Banjo Bolts & Washers

I replace the copper washers, not the banjo bolt. i also use hammerite brush on paint (I like smooth red personally) -
And yet there is still cars with halogen lights driving round with mega bright LED bulbs like nighteyes and cheap eBay HID kits blinding everyone and nobody cares. these rules are nothing new, just worded differently. *yawn* dont forget to refit your standard exhausts, EGR valves, DPFs and make sure the warning lights on the dash all light up and go out.
-
You forgot headlight washers
-
I completley agree. ive used standard xenon housings and converted standard lights to bi-xenon. I guarantee nobody would know they were originally halogen headlights converted. Even myself if I seen them fitted in a car wouldn’t recognise my own work!!
-
I’d like you to spot the difference between oem lights and some of the retrofits. The conversion applies to halogen lights running xenon bulbs which isn’t aloud. having hid xenon bulbs in xenon lights is fine.
-
Thanks mate, don’t have any genuine xenons left now, but I should have 2 sets in the next week or two.
-
They are, I’ve messaged you.
-
Sadly I’ve sold my special edition so they are just sitting on a shelf in the garage now.
