I had 2006 year Octavia rs and I upgraded headunit to Columbus RNS510. I even replased canbus cos had a battery draining issue. You don't need to canbus upgrade. My friend have a new multimediacentre for Skoda Octavia. Unfortunately it didn't work in my car ( no sound) but if you are in Dublin area we may try....maybe it's working in your car. Problem is that there's a lot of diffrenet amplifiers....some of them are making drouble, some of not. I'm confused myself aswell cos I don't know which Columbus works in my car and I affraid to order Columbus.

Hi Jana, welcome to BriSkoda. If your car is not imported and car is serviced in offical dealers then is easy to check service history. If you want you can order a new service book and it will filled out. May I ask what's the mileage on your car? Don't forgot to get timingbelt replaced!! It's very important. Best, Jan

Hi, I have a 08 Mk2 and same amplier soundsystem. I have tried to updgrade to sat nav unit like Zenec, Pioneer, Dynavin and Columbus and also some chinese models. But one of Columbus I got worked but I was only tring is it working or not. It was my friends unit. I decided to buy a Columbus and at the buying time I tried a Columbus and it didn't work in my car-no sound. I tried to program(vag com) it and nothing. My friend Columbus didn't needed to program with vag com. I just reseted it and it was working. These Columbuses are different...first on what was working was for Superb (3TO 035 680 A ) and second what didn't work was for Octavias (1T0 035 680 A). Boler don't work with soundsystem. I was reading russian forums and there was a lot of information about that. Forgot....Skoda dealer tried to get work Zenec and even they were unsuccessful. Pioneer told me that all system should work with this adapter : http://www.adnauto.fr/ctsvw004pae-interface-commande-au-volant-pour-vw-ap08-75438.html but I didn't tried this because Skoda don't have a dynaudio. Hi everybody, I have a 08 Skoda Octavia vRS. Factory released 19.Nov.2007. Delivery date 11.01.2008 year. I tried to install ZENEC today. It was working but no sound. Didn't tried it again. I contacted with ZENEC factory and asked what's the problem and they said : because my car has a digital sound system 12 speakers, digitalequalizer and that's the reason why don't operate. I read the German forums with Google Language Translation and there people said there is possible to get ZENEC to work, only have to change some wires connections . Unfortunately don't know exactly..it was kinda hard to read. :| The question is how is possible to get to work ZENEC, maxidot and clima monitoring? If ZENEC installation fails I'm thinking to go with Columbus. Well I tried it today as well. After the reset it worked fine. Question is how to operate that Columbus will show parking sensor and clima monitoring? I read the forums before and know that don't have to the change the gateway. Before I had a 06 Skoda Octavia vRS and I went everything thru to get Columbus to work. My technical English isn't the best, and I hope you understand me and you can give me some advice. Jan

Hi, sry...forgot. Car is petrol, car is like brand new 1500 km original mileage and price 17000 eur. Full service history( 2 services- new oil service), no any damages, scratches. Car is washed only 2-3 times and has been standing all the time in garage. Pictures attach in about few days. Really busy right now.

Few exras what car have: full maxidot, climatronic(dual zone), cruisecontrol, xenon headlights with dynamic andle control and telescopic front headlight washers, ESP, servotronic, rainsensor, parktronic front and rear, tyrepressure monitoring systems, electric slide/tilt sunroof with sun screen/sunblind, signalisatsion and immobilaiser, alarm interior monitoring, mp3 , digital sound system, breakaway interior rear view mirror and automatically dimming, and etc. Serviced only in main Skoda Service.
