Hi there, I own a 01 fabia elegance tdi hatch. I have the faulty electrics problem, in that the: - Front passenger/rear electric windows do not work. ONLY CONTROL FROM DRIVERS SIDE. (I cleaned out connectors but no luck) - Central locking is not working. (Tried the pairing methods but no luck again :/) - Power steering light comes on and off (heavy sometimes, but goes light again?? :S) The first two problems I have read up are related to water ingress in the Convenience Control Unit, So I am looking on replacing that. Will it need coding though or can I remove the same part number out another VAG vehicle? AND WHERE IS THE CCU BOX SITUATED IN THE CAR???? I want to fix up and sell the car so I can purchase a VRS or Ibiza FR TDI. Help much appreciated. Thank You

did it make a decent change in performance though, torque (or did you receive it in a huge lump at certain revs?) Like did your fuel economy lower etc?

Hi guys, I have brought this tuning box used off a member on here. For my 2001 PD100 Fabia. It is made from (www.tdi-tuning.co.uk) I have uploaded a photo of it as well. It's 9 months old and is an analogue box, which fits into the fuel line. Any feedback on the box? Hi guys, My 2001 PD100 Fabia is suffering from the dreaded PAS issue. It is fine at speed say above 5mph, but when below that and whilst parking it is seriously stiff. Note - My interior lights also flicker when all the 2 front windows switches are engaged. But the weird thing is, the steering works fine after some driving. But then again it doesn't sometimes. I'm out of ideas. :(

Fair enough mate, I understand where you're coming from. I think luck does come into play as well. I've just brought an analogue box off a member here for £35 (10 months old) it's usually £119.99 on TDI-TUNING.CO.UK. When I get back home I will post the results. I wanted a remap but thought I'd give the cheaper route a punt. I'd rather get a VRS or Ibiza Fr when my insurance drops. Time being this box will have to do.

lol I nearly brought one of those on Ebay for about £45. The PSI Unit is very good though. :S

What brand were you using? where did you get it from?

No I meant it could have happened to your car, due to an underlying problem. BUT thousands of cars are using these boxes??? You were probably just unlucky, or poor servicing, driving style, wrong set up etc etc.

lol guys when ever your clutch pedal gives up on you don't start crying there and then like I did :p thinking it was the clutch. Calm down and investigate the problem first its a simple DIY job, garage was charging £30 just to inspect the problem. Good job my dads a mechanic though.

Hey turns out it was a piece of plastic and metal that had broken. The whole part was replaced I'm not sure what its called exactly (£5 ) I'm soo glad that it wasn't the clutch.

Haha oh yh it is hydraulic. Turns out it is something that has snapped/broken behind the pedal area, after some inspection by my father. Therefore it will not engage the clutch. I think the clutch is fine (hope so!) might just need a new pedal mechanism. Cheers for the replies!

Hey guys, I was driving my pd100 2001 fabia elegance today and kind of floored it in second to 3k rpm lol, as I was about to put it into third the clutch pedal literally pulled itself in completely. I pulled over and the pedal does come back slightly (10cm or so) Now the car was brought home in second gear, but what I wanted to ask is it my clutch or cable that has gone; bearing in mind the car drove 2 miles in second gear. I don't know what clutch to replace it with, I've seen clutch and flywheel on ebay for around 50 quid but in used condition. Should I get the vr6 clutch and flywheel or just replace it with a clutch from a pd130+ because I want to remap soon as well. Thanks

What about mk3 ibiza cupra. Some cheap on Ebay, half leather???
