About Me

I acquired my splendid Octavia 1.9 Turbo Diesel Ambiente just over a year ago. I use it for commuting to work and on longish jaunts to Scotland and Yorkshire. It has been remarkably economical, reliable and a joy to drive.

One interesting problem arose, when a warnign on the dashboard told me that "ENGINE WORKSHOP" visit was needed, and the glow-plug warning lamp lit and stayed alight. The car continued to run, apparently without a problem. My local garage suggested a new fuel pump was needed, but the problem was eventually traced to the failure of both rear brake lighgt bulbs!

I am grateful to the Audi expert of Towcester who suggested I check the brake light bulbs.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
