  1. Sorted, KG Electronics Birmingham 07886 480622. Very quick service
  2. Hopefully I found someone who can repair it. It comes out again tomorrow
  3. Hi my steering squib has failed and it would appear to be near impossible to get a replacement. Anyone know of any alternatives ? Thanks
  4. After replacement of EGR which failed 15 miles after the fix, have had two limp mode issues with no warning plus starting problems. RAC called and they checked the battery as healthy. Could not get a booking in to garage for ten days so drove around with jump leads and spare battery in foot-well . Garage reported battery as failing which was interesting so have had new one fitted, £282. 2 months since driving a perfect Yeti into the garage to put up with continual problems since, just to assuage VW conscience as all the fix does is report the increase emissions during an MOT test
  5. Post fix update. Have been pottering around central London since getting car back. Wife just set off to go to Dorset, halfway down Euston Rd engine management failure, back to limp mode. Stopped restarted engine driving back to office DPF regen starts limp mode clears and has now turned round to go to Dorset. I used to have trouble free motoring. now I do not have a clue what is going on. No DPF warning prior to shut down
  6. Just got my Yeti back after 4 weeks. EGR valve replaced and a new turbo. Reason for the new turbo was that when they went to change the EGR valve there were bolts missing from the turbo (sheered off) This must have happened when the EGR valve was replace in France years ago (under warranty ) . Fair do to the Skoda dealer who got Skoda to pay for a new turbo as well as the EGR valve. Had a VW passat TDI as a hire car . Liked the DSG box and had one of the best stop start systems i have driven. Dislike the seats, nearly killed my back by the end of a month delighted to be sitting in the Yeti again. Experience since getting it back. Low rev pull seems to be a bit down. Fuel consumption seems the same
  7. Just had my 170 done and managed to get 20 miles up the M11 before engine management fault and crawl home mode. Should have left well alone . Prior to this 110K almost faultless miles all over Europe. Seems like Russian roulette as to whether it works or not. Any London remapping company suggestions welcome Further update from talking to Skoda on Saturday morning which was a bit of a surprise as they say their customer line is only open Monday to Friday. Was asked if I wanted to pay the £85 pounds for the re test ! I declined and suggested that a courtesy car would be appreciated, which thy appear to have agreed to.

  9. I have just started to have the same problem in my Yeti. It started after the NOX recycling unit failed on a trip through France at Christmas. After I got the car back from Skoda in Reims the radio will not hang on to a signal. By the way , thank god for Skoda recovery (RAC) recovered car , taxi, over night in hotel , hire car and repair of Yeti all organised over Christmas week seamlessly

  11. Just seen some pictures from Car magazine for the new proposed Snowman model. If they stick with the looks its as good as the the Q5 and hopefully would have the ride of the Yeti rather than the Q5
  12. Sorted- Have found out that an odd combination of presses on the remote will open all four windows by 2cm. Spent five minutes trying and only got it to do it once ! So still do not know the exact sequence
  13. Have a similar problem, have found all my windows down 3cm on a couple of occasions including the this morning. Not such an issue in the ski resort but a bit more of an issue in central London !
  14. Came back from skiing to find all the windows had opened a fraction ? There was a lot of condensation in the car that day. Happened again two days later. Is there a sensor in the car ?

    Moving Xenons

Find a foggy day and then you will really see the headlamps do their dance ! ( brings a smile to my wifes face every time we fire the Yeti up in the dark !!)
