Help car still not fixed and the issue is worse The wipers will not work then at a random point the will just come on and will wipe at various intervals not selected on the stalk The garage has changed the stalk twice saying the original one was faulty then the day I picked it up the new one did the same but worse so the changed it again for another new stalk It's been at the garage since and is showing no diagnostic faults and all the relays are fine They are now saying it's the motor and a future 300 - 400 pounds to fix??? If the motors gone then why do the wipers work at all?? And even when the car is switched off and locked?? Anyone with any ideas ?? Cheers going mental now!!!

hi chaps i have a 06 1.9 tdi classic and the wipers stopped working in any mode except when i ask to wash the screen, then for some unkown reason the wipers would come on when driving when it was sunny?? took it to my garage and they said it was the switch and fitted a new stalk / switch , this worked for one day then whn back to its not working or sporadic stop starting so it went back the next day they di tested the car and said it showed a faulty switch , so another new switch was fitted came home ,all working got into the car the next day and the wipers do not work and come on sporadically again anyone have any idea what the issue may be its costing me each time!!! my other octi 4x4 is fine??

cheers for that so has it made it smoother and better with the six speed box? my other octi II classic has a totally different clutch than my 4x4 and the gears are standard 5 speed just feels different love my 4x4 just need a bit more pulling power through the gears but not to ott how much was the remap and hoe long did it take? cheers uote name='stewartbaldwin' date='01 February 2011 - 09:50' timestamp='1296553853' post='2263421'] I have the same model and Shark at Mansfield did a remap getting on for one year ago. I asked for the car to be better at overtaking and still good on fuel,and I got both. Bearing in mind that I live at the bottom end of the peak district, and every road is a hill, I get a display average of 49mpg overall, and I have enough power to overtake the tractors and dozy tourists. I don't have specific power or torque figures, but it works for me.

hi chaps anyone done a tune /remap on a 1.9tdi 4x4 estate?? any feedback and what to expect any help would be appreciated i am based in staffs and have a 2006 56 model
