just my 2p worth.....and a bit of a....i get to drive a r35 gtr boast my friend has a nissan gtr and as standard it was absolutely nuts.....when he said he was upping the bhp i couldn't get my head round it. he has had a few bits and bobs done and i went down to nobles in chesterfield with him today to get it on the rolling road.....it now has approx 600bhp and 600lbs or torque. he very kindly insisted that i drove it back to try the different maps and see what i thought.....i can honestly say it has made it even better.....a hunk of metal shouldnt move that fast in short....when cars are built i think compromises are made....if you dont mind spending money then just about anything can be improved.

Thinking of selling... What's it worth?
tonytone replied to sjparker's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
maybe give it a try how it is now and if it doesnt sell then take some mods off.......from the spec it looks like it has all the best gear on it. -

i advertised the wifes car on ebay a couple of weeks back and got offered £5500.....decided to keep it in the end. her car is a Standard Black 2006 with 57k miles. when we were looking for a vrs we avoided modded ones.....not everyone is going to be the same but it does put some people off. -

can anyone recommend a roof rack, roof box and supplier?
tonytone replied to tonytone's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
will give em a ring......always assume dealer prices are going to be sky high thanks. -
was thinking of getting rid of the fabia but only need the extra storage space come holiday time so am thinking roof bars and roof box will do the job nicely......and we get to keep the fabia another year or two. can anyone recommend roof bars that use the anchor points on the roof? had a look and there are 4 clips on the roof that i assume hide the mounting points. had a search but found lots of mixed answers so would like to hear from people using roof bars thanks.

anyone having trouble selling their vrs?
tonytone replied to tonytone's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
thanks for the replies chaps. might nip round a few local garages and see if they would stick it on their forecourt for a cut of the sale price. the car my wife wants is a private sale so dont want to spend a chunk of the savings and have the vrs sat there collecting dust :( -
Everyone i know who has tried to sell their car recently has struggled.....not because they were bad cars or even overpriced.....just the fact that certain cars can't be given away at the mo. Has anyone had to sell a good vrs for next to nothing or given up and kept it? Just wondered if the fabia vrs is still a sought after car?

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment - South Yorkshire
tonytone replied to tonytone's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Thanks Ant-Vrs. They were powder coated, sprayed and then lacquered. Got the Rainsports from camskill......£64 each -
Had the wife's wheels refurbed by AP Tyres in Rotherham. I don't work for these chaps and I'm not on commission but was so pleased with the service i thought I would put this up for anyone who might find it useful. Dropped in and they explained their process and got to see some examples of their work. They took our wheels off and kitted us out with some wheels to use in the meantime. Got a call a couple of days later to say they were done. Dropped down with some new rainsport 2's and they popped em on.....just waiting for the new centres. The finish is excellent and a years guarantee.....chuffed to bits. £160 + vat

heard alot of good things about rainsport 2's.......bought some for the wife's car but haven't driven it since. also, camskill have the T1R's at £65 inc vat at the moment which is a cracking price imo.
