  1. Exactly my thoughts as they cannot do it, I would have to take it to a body shop! This suggests to me that they cannot do it because the only time it needs recalibration is after a frontal impact. Their answer to that was that because it activated more than twice on the same journey it requires calibration. It only activated once, but they warning on the maxi dot flashed up about 3 times afterwards on the 2 mile journey. This suggests to me that the fault occurred after the initial activation but they are having none of it. Cost "Oh about £300.00!! We will see what Skoda UK say, if they reply.
  2. Hi All, 2015 Octy estate DSG. Whilst driving distracted the other day at low speed the front assist came to my aid and stopped me ploughing into the car in front. Great system! However since then, every time I turn the ignition on I get "front assist not available" also the stop / start has ceased working. Took it to the main agents, from where the car was bought, to be informed that every time it is activated it needs calibrating, which means sending it elsewhere and it is not under warranty as it is "an adjustment" Has anyone else heard of this or is someone at the dealers "pulling my chain?" If it is the case how can VAG group get away with selling 26 grands worth of motor with a warranty that doesn't cover system faults? Annoyed petrolhead.
