  1. ^ 'The great advantage to these cars is that they're not encumbered with electronic nonsense, unlike their more modern counterparts. Call me old fashioned, but I think that's a big plus in terms of reliability' & at least gives you half a chance to fix it!
  2. No to be fair we haven't but have made some headway with AF so hopefully on the way to resolve! Thanks to Dan for his input.
  3. Hmmm, we're now experiencing problems adding some simple business use to the policy, to the extent that I've now referred the issue to Dan for help/clarification! We're both in our 40's with a shed load of clean driving history & the cover addition is really simple/straightforward in relation to occasional employment requirements, but what we have is a flat no with no supporting explanation! They should be aware we'd be happy to pay a bit more as long as it's not stupidly disproportionate. I hope the scenario people have highlighted isn't true such that AF are ok if everything is bulk standard but as soon as you deviate from this!! :wonder: We look forward to Dan's response.
  4. ^ You'll probably find it a bit trial & error to start with. Even now I still don't get it quite right at times!
  5. ^ Forgot to add for chopping over to the Fun & rusty/cool just about sums it up!
  6. Oh you bitch! Just wasn't sure if the ban extended into this section?
  7. Does the status of this thread now mean it's become hot milk!
  8. Hi juan27, doesn't sound like a bad little motor for the money you're asking, which to be fair isn't that much more than equivalent scrap value. The bad points are pretty much as expected for a Felly of this age & it's asking to become a nice little project for someone! Best of luck with the sale!
  9. ^ Nice to see you in the old banger I mean classic section Auric.
  10. After years of driving Fellys I only discovered that fairly recently!!
  11. Jumped back in mine this afternoon & complete silence when key activated. Luckily it again was the starter solenoid link so not stranded for long! ^ Wish I could whiz back to 45K!
  12. You sound majorly f**ked off, sincerely hope some good soul comes to the rescue!!
  13. Congrats fella, passing the 200k mark is a real achievement! Only 84k to catch you up!
  14. Agreed gadgetman. The other thing I've noticed is when using the same amount in tea the tea always seems that bit darker/stronger. As GG says perhaps it's to do with the fat/water separation?
  15. If that's true & you had a definite arrangement in place prior to my re-entry into this then fine. As said if it goes to you then I'll have my refund, unless the judgement of Solomon decrees we cut it in half! :p
  16. From my perspective I declared the firm intention first & have subsequently honoured the payment as stated. I think we should let the seller decide the most equitable way to resolve this & if he does qualify it on a payment first basis I'll be looking for a £10 refund!
  17. Hi Paul, Paypal done as promised with supporting information. Just let me know if you need anything else. Could you please confirm as a little confused in respect of the post made after mine? Cheers, Rob
  18. We do it with semi skimmed & yes it's fine when thawed out although I have noticed it seems to adjust the consistency slightly, almost akin to a slight watering down.
  19. Hi, I'll have it for a tenner Paul & will sort the paypal this afternoon. Will pm later to confirm when done. Rob
  20. Better chance of receiving the advice you want in the Octavia section.
  21. ^ Useful to know it can be done applying the slightly more old fashioned approach. Perhaps with the guitar strings it was just a case of hitting the right chord!
