  1. No luck, nothing happens. It's a good tool nonetheless not going to use it anyway, the speed and reliance on parking sensors only doesn't give that confidenc. It might be better with rear blind spot and front camera and radars. -Pramod
  2. I have a 150PS 4x4 DSG with Park Assist, have multiple time but not able to manually put the park assist in perpendicular parking mode. As per owners manual, pressing the park assist button in park assist mode again should put the system into perpendicular parking mode but if I press the park assist button the park assist system stops, pressing again start and pressing again stops! am I missing some process, any help, procedure guidance? -Pramod
  3. I have taken my Yeti to Ladhak Region(India) were most of the pass are > 5000 meters , to name few that I crossed was Kardung La (5359m) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khardung_La , Chang La, Tanglag La , Rohtang Pass and few Lakes that's we're more than 4K meters were Pangong and TSO Moriri . Few images posted on other forum http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-drives-initial-ownership-reports/93772-skoda-yeti-india-ownership-review-27.html#post2816843 I believe this would be the highest possibly any Yeti would have gone yet! -Pramod
  4. As the control stalk on before 2010 where separate unit, while the current one is a combined unit also the connectors and the controller are now buil in the slip ring itself, the current stalk and slip ring are not compatible with old cruise control module. -Pramod
  5. Have given my Yeti for the oil leak fix, it will be delivered back tomorrow, I am hoping its not major and get a permanent fix! will update all once I get my Yeti after the service. Have instructed them to clean the engine bay so it make easy to spot any oil traces in case it occurs again! -Pramod Update 31st Jan 2012: Received my Yeti back, they have cleaned the whole engine bay and have replaced a seal from where the oil was leaking, as per them it was on the outlet side and nothing to worry about, I will have to drive hard and keep an eye to see if it really fixed or not.
  6. It does looks like loose oil feed line, may be some "O" ring replacement should do the task. I am very hopeful about this the service guys told me its gonna take 2 days I am not sure it gonna take that much time but I have to go by there word and way, will tell them to clean the engine and leaked oil, once fixed I would be able to identify if it gets bad again! -Pramod
  7. Its not the spill from past service, I cleaned the area as much as possible and drove for 100km and the oil was back, so its definitely leaking, I am more worried about as I have driven some 2K after the service before I spot this, the oil level seem to be OK, so this might possibly be a current leak and supposedly would not have damaged any internals anywhere! Have gone ahead and booked for a check and fix on Monday, hoping its get fixed and never reoccurs -Pramod
  8. Yesterday while looking at the engine bay I saw fresh oil in and around turbo and the source seems to be some where near turbo, has anyone seen this type of oil leak and what would be the cause? Service Center guys told me there is always some oil in and around turbo, not convinced I have booked my vehicle for checkup and fix, as the oil I see is dripping and all the way down to skid plate. Yeti current odo is 13K kms and the first 1year service was done in Dec at 11K kms, before that there was no oil anywhere, any suggestion on what might have gone wrong after service? -Pramod
  9. @Great Yeti , many thanks for this guide, I had a small accident that dented the rear left door and needed denting painting with refitting of protective foil, service center was able to get the foil but where not sure if they can get this done there, they advised to get the fitting done from sun film fitting experts, I took the foil and this guide and did it myself, and the job is well done!! Thanks again for this guide and happy new year. -Pramod
  10. No I have not changed the mirror, it's expensive to do and maintain as here the Yeti range don't come with that option and would be difficult to maintain incase of any eventuality. -Pramod
  11. I am planning to retrofit auto folding mirror on my Yeti(RHD) with autodimming, heated , electrical adjusted, puddle light and turn indicator mirrors, the parts that I have identified are 2011 manufactured and am not sure if they will behave properly with the BCM of my 2010 manufactured 2011 model Yeti, the current controller module for front drive and passenger are 7N0 959 793 A and 7N0 959 792 A while the new module that does support auto folding are 7N0 959 793 E and 7N0 959 792 E but they have started showing upon only currently in newer modules manufactured from jun 2011 onward. Other parts that have been identified are Front driver side mirror 5L2 857 508 R MODEL PR+6XL + 7R7 front passenger side mirror 5L2 857 507 T MODEL PR-6XL + 7R7 and the Switch 1Z2 959 565 E color Black Incase if the parts identified would not work then this would be a very costly Gamble for me, request all to post VCDS scan log of Yeti with Auto Folding mirror this will help in identifying the right parts to order. -Pramod
  12. I want this feature retrofitted in my Yeti, looked for the part information and gather the part number, would like to reconfirm these parts before I looks for cost and other Front door driver controller 7N0 959 793 E Front door passenger controller 7N0 959 792 E Front driver side mirror 5L2 857 508 R MODEL PR+6XL + 7R7 front passenger side mirror 5L2 857 507 T MODEL PR-6XL + 7R7 and the Switch 1Z2 959 565 E color Black This is for RHD Yeti, can any body confirm if this is right parts for auto folding mirrors without memory seat option, the current controller are with "A" rather than "E" and I believe they would not be able to accept the auto folding code. Thanks, Pramod
  13. Cruise Control is working but I just get CC indication on the console and no display on Maxidot, can anyone help in setting to get the CC display on the Maxidot? -Pramod
  14. you can do that via VCDS, no need for hard button in VCDS go to your ABS controller > basic settings > enter 042 in block field > GO > That’s it. -Pramod
