Hi All, I have a 2000 Octavia Tdi SLX and it sounds as though the heater fan has started to pack up. A week or so ago I started to hear a rattle when I turned on the blower and I cannot adjust the speed. Currently it [the fan] either doesn't at all, it rattles or is intermittent. When it rattles there is a slight flow of air regardless of the speed setting. As winter is just around the corner I want to get this sorted as the car is having misting problems. Any thoughts? Hi All, I bought an 2000 Octavia TDi SLX back in 2004 after test driving another car for my wife... a Peugot 405 TD Estate. After realising that my 150bhp Cavalier Sri was going to put me in a hedge one day, I decided to go for an ex-rep TDi and the Ocatvia came up at the right time and at the right price. It's now done over 200K miles and the engine is still going strong, however it has developed a couple of electrical faults, heaters fan and wipers, but I'll scour this site to see if the're common.
