  1. Phosphoric is right, I have the Skoda towbar and wiring Kit fitted without the factory prep. If I have a bulb failure on the trailer it brings up the bulb warning light on the dash.
  2. I have the Skoda detachable towbar fitted to my VRS. Really happy with it, you can't see any of the bracket when its not in use and the electrics pop up behind the bumper. The towbar fits in the spare wheel when not in use.
  3. Hi I have the Skoda towbar and it does fit nicely in the foam carrier in the spare wheel. Although it did cost me £500 fitted by the dealer with a 13 pin electric socket.
  4. They seem to fit whatever tyres they feel like. I got my VRS in Nov and it came fitted with Conti's. My sister got her VRS about 2 weeks ago and that has Dunlops, but the new stubby aerial!
  5. Not bad at all, hope the rest of the car is as clean!! Thanks for all your help , I will let you know if I get much gunk out and try to take some pictures as it may help someone else.
  6. Bloody hell I think I need to send the GF out to clean her engine! Have to post some picks of my octavia to get anything that clean!
  7. Thank god for that, got there in the end.. I will have a look at the spacer and locate the pipe. Do you know if this pipe blocks up like the other engines?
  8. Hi,Right I have some photos of the engine, your right it does seem to have the boxes on top of the spark plug leads
  9. I think you have just cracked it. Had a look in the haynes manual and found the spacer you mean. It says this is fitted to pre 08/2003 cars which this one is. I will have a good look at the weekend and let you know and try to get a picture of it.
  10. Thats what the engine cover looks like. Just been and yaken the engine cover off and there are no pipes behind the dipstick, except the coolant pipes going to the expansion tank.
  11. Hi thanks for the photos, that doesn't look much like the air filter/cover fitted to my girlfriends car. It definantley doesn't have the pipe fitted to the right hand side of the cover. I will have to have a good poke around at the weekend as it does have the pipe on the passenger side of the rocker cover which connects to the air filter. So it sounds like I need to have a look down the back of the engine! Glad there are lots of different engine variants, thought I was being an ar*e for not finding the breather pipe everyone mentioned.
  12. Its an 03 plate. Thanks triggerfish i will have a look at the weekend and if i can't find it i will let you know.
  13. Thanks i will have a look. I don't remember seeing a pipe on left side of the cover. Is it on the side or underneath?
  14. Hi, My girlfriend has a 1.4 fabia which is using a fair amount of oil. I keep reading about cleaning the crankcase breather pipe which goes into the air filter. I've had a quick look and found a small pipe that comes off the rocker cover and into the air filter, is this the right pipe I should be looking at? thanks for your help.
