  1. You are right about 4 wires broken, its been repaired in the past. Fiddly job because the wires are so short and the conduit has sleeving stuck inside hard to pull the cable through. Hope It doesn't happen to me again.
  2. My 2009 superb boot button stopped working. The boot still releases with the key. When I press either boot button nothing happens, no noise or lights. Is there a easy fix for this or is it a new button replacement. On a side note the rear lights keep throwing up errors even thought they work fine.
  3. Ok thanks, I'l try that. Did it change the normal kph reading in the center to mph or does it display large on its own?
  4. How did you get the MPH reading? I'd like this
  5. I have a obdeleven which is capable of clearing codes and coding. I'm aware that reconnecting the plug will not fix the problem. It was my first thought and I want to get the cable to check for damage. I think the cable goes to the door. I'm going to check there.
  6. I have a airbag fault light on the dash. I've tried reconnecting the yellow airbag harness under the seat and clear codes. The fault comes back. I tried to trace the cable but I goes to the side of the seat and into the seat its self. Does anyone know where the crash sensor is located I need to take the cable out to check it. The fault came after moving the seat. Cable must have got snagged in the motor
  7. I reassembled the part and drove for a while. Nothing went wrong so I guess it was nothing major. I think it came from the engine end of the valve. Whatever it was it can't have been doing the car any good being stuck in their.
  8. Just cleaning out my EGR, when I took it off a broken bit of metal fell out. It looks like the end of a shoe horn thats broken off its about 30x20mm. Just wondering if any one know what it might be not sure I should put everything back yet. Thanks
  9. Ok now I have a fault code P2563 - Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Intermittent. The sudden performance improvement only lasted a day and its back to being laggy and having erratic gear changes. Something not right with the turbo, actuator or DPF. Is there any checks I can do to determine the problem? My mechanical skills are very basic. Does anyone know how to perform a static DPF regen? or have a guide to clear the EGR?
  10. This may seem strange but my Superb has started to improve in performance. The gearchanges on my auto seem better, the car is more responsive and goes alot quicker. I'm thinking the DPF has cleared but I rarely have chance to regen where I live. Unless something in the gearbox has changed, the gearbox was very poor before and I was considering selling the car because of it. Now the car is great.
  11. Arched as in blown electricly. Bought a new loom now and all is working well now.
  12. Nothing wrong with the fuse. I'll get a new loom and if that fails a new door module.
  13. Iv'e just checked the loom inside the rubber gaiter on the drivers side door. No cables are broken but there is alot of furring between two wires where it looks like it has arched. So I think i'll change the loom. Would it have blow a fuse when it shorted? Does anyone know which one if it did?
  14. Hi, My rear door opens and closes fine but the car warns its open when it's closed. Is there a way of bypassing the door ctrl module before I have to start removing the door to check? Scan shows the fault as: OBDeleven data log Date: 2018-08-25 18:06 VIN: TMBBF73T999017636 Car: Skoda Superb Year: 2009 Body type: Saloon Engine: CBBB 125 kW (170 HP) 2.0 l Mileage: 90830 KM --------------------------------------------------------------- 19 Gateway System description: J533__Gateway H16 Software number: 1K0907530Q Software version: 0202 Hardware number: 1K0907951 Serial number: 2700K08925048E Long coding: EDA1FF064006023303 Trouble codes: 01334 - Right rear door ctrl. module No signal/communication static Thanks
