  2. Adrian, The picture is of my Karoq. Yes fingerprints do show on it but seem to clean off well. Only had it on for a week so its difficult to know what it will be like long term but can always remove in a year or so's time and put a new protector on!
  3. This is a picture of my Columbus screen with Brotect Premium Glass Screen Protector fitted.
  4. I have used screen protectors on mobile phones and tablets and nearly always had issues with irremovable air bubbles so I was in two minds as to whether to buy a protector for my new Karoq Columbus screen. In the end I decided to try a BROTECT® AirGlass® Premium Glass Screen Protector Clear for Skoda Infotainmentsystem Columbus Karoq which I bought from www.protectionfilms24.com I would strongly recommended it. It is thicker than normal films (Glass not plastic) and went on to the screen a treat, with absolutely no air bubbles. The touch control menu and selections work fine through the film. It cost 14.99 euros including shipping and arrived very quickly.
  5. Very pleased with my new 4x4 Karoq Edition (I particularly wanted the panoramic sunroof) but would have preferred the Braga wheels that are on the SE L to the Crater wheels which are standard on the Edition. Anyone with a new SE L interested in a no cost swap of wheels and tyres? My wheels are fitted with Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport tyres. Would need to be on basis of both sets being as new (limited mileage) with no damage to alloys or tyres. No cost at all if DIY changeover done, share cost if done at a tyre centre. Best if you are within reasonable distance of Farnham/Guildford.
  6. Collected my Karoq Edition TDI 150 4x4 last week and so far pretty pleased with it, but I think I may have an issue with the automatic headlight switch-on point. When driving back from the dealers on a bright sunny day I noticed that the headlights seemed to turn on several times in mildly shaded places. Even got flashed once or twice. Later on I looked into settings and changed the switch-on time from medium to late but in the limited driving I have done since I have noticed them turning on several times. The auto lights on my Yeti would never have turned on under such light conditions. Has anyone else had this problem?
  7. I note that in both the Swedish and Czech vehicle configurator there are only two models, the Ambition and the Style. There doesn't seem to be the equivalent of the UK 'Edition'. They seem to put fewer features in as standard fit and leave more as Options. They seem to offer the options of 17", 18" or 19" with the 17" being the standard fit. Couldn't see the 16" with snow tyres in the configurator.
  8. The Karoq tables fold out upwards rather than downwards. I'm sure if the grandkids are in position in their car seats it will be difficult or impossible to fold the tables out. If you fold them out first it will then be difficult to get the grandkids in!
  9. No luck I'm afraid. Customer relations phoned and basically repeated the mantra that the Edition spec is for 19" wheels and can't be changed. Not prepared to ask the factory. Not able to given any real justification as to why no choice is available. Crazily suggested I could fit larger profile tyres after delivery (seemed ignorant of the fact that this would make the speedo wrong and possibly result in tyre/wheel-arch issues).
  10. Well that's another thing my dealer didn't explain when I asked about having the spare wheel!
  11. Robjon, thanks for that idea. I have just contacted Skoda UK and they weren't very optimistic about being able to do anything to help, It might have been easier if I hadn't placed the Karoq order last week. Will let you know eventual outcome.
  12. I'm sure I'll learn to love it!
  13. Thanks. Another thing my dealer didn't explain properly!
  14. I found this picture on the web:
  15. What's your reason for preferring mesh? I was concerned more noise would come up from the boot floor etc and I can't lay a coat on top of mesh
