  1. Congrats. I hope you're enjoying your new car. I think there may be two ways you can get to it but once you press the Media button, you should see an icon for Setup. Then, I think it's under Volume. Once in there, you should see the option for Bluetooth volume. Just press what the option you see selected and it should show you a submenu where you can select the desired setting. If you don't find it that way, when I pop out to my car I can check for you and confirm.
  2. You'll love it either way. My previous car was a white Blackline. Whilst blue was my favourite, the white looked really good with the black wheels. I'm sure the white Mk III with black pack will stand out. My previous girl:

  4. I know right. :-D. Didn't have much choice that day but I try to keep a good distance from poorly-parked cars.
  5. Hi, I'm selling my private reg I retained after part exchanging my vRS. It's D20 VRS so is perfect for any 2.0 vRS, especially diesel but can work for however you want. Feel free to send me a PM. I'm looking for around £500.
  6. Lovely car. Mine's the black hatchback with the same wheels. I thought the ride with the 19s would have been too hard but to be honest, it's almost as smooth as my previous Mk II on 18s.
  7. Agreed I ended up getting a black one with the black design pack, Xtremes, red stitching and a few other extras like Amundsen sat nav. I got it ex-demo so I didn't get to choose the extras but I'm happy with what it did come with. I speced out mine the other day using the Skoda configurator and it works out I got mine for about £5K less than the current retail price with not too much miles on the clock. The only option I wish it had come with but didn't is the Canton audio. Whilst the standard audio isn't bad, it's not exactly great either.

  9. Hi Steve, I got it from the Citygate Watford dealership... really great customer service. Bart is the man you'll want to speak to. He really went the extra mile to get me a good deal and I really can't be happier. Plus, he told me last week he has a race blue estate coming in really soon, I believe.
  10. Fair point but just to clarify what I said earlier, I was merely agreeing with the context and spirit of what TheWanderer was saying about the performance capabilities of the new vRS, not actually saying or implying that anything faster than a vRS is pointless. That would be pointless. :p I actually seriously considered the Cupra 280 a few months ago because the prices I was being quoted for the 280 were working out just about £1K more than the MSRP of the vRS spec I wanted. I'd even tweeted to @SkodaUK about whether they were going to build an equivalent car to it and the Golf R because, if so, I'd probably have taken the plunge without much thought for any downsides. Why I settled on the Mk3 dIesel vRS instead was merely for practical reasons, including asking myself whether I'd even get to use half of the performance of the 280 regularly. Granted though, that was just a personal decision based on my current needs, not because I think a faster car would be pointless, else I'd have stuck to my relatively-boring Blackline. Regarding your original question though, I was told by someone at Skoda a couple months ago that they have no plans of building a Golf R/Cupra 280 equivalent. One guy at a dealership suggested it's probably because VW tends to get priority and it could impact the Golf R and Cupra brands. Considering the wait times for the vRS, even if they did a "vRS R", we'd probably be waiting a year for it to be delivered.
  11. Seriously, why bother posting on a thread (which is subject to a variety of opinions) saying you respect someone's opinion in the first paragraph and asking a stupid contradictory question in the last?
  12. Same here. I owned a black VW Bora many years ago and vowed never to get another black car because of the cleaning headache. I actually wanted a blue one but got a good deal on this one, plus it had the Xtremes so it was too good to pass up.
  13. Thanks guys. I thought the ride would too too hard but it's not that much harder than my Mk2 on 18's and I think they really do suit a car with the profile of the Mk3 vRS. I'm very happy with what Škoda has produced here.
  14. I totally agree. I picked up my Mk III vRS diesel yesterday and decided to test what it could do. Both my mate and I were more than a little shocked when we glanced at the speedo. The car was doing way more than it felt like and was still ready for more. I had to quickly ease off. As I said in another thread, after driving the diesel, I can't imagine why I personally would even need a petrol. For road use, the diesel is more than ample.
