  1. Did this as well, last weekend, little point in using the sump plug method anymore.
  2. hi, have noticed a damp patch in the drivers side foot well over the last few weeks, mainly concentrated where your heel would be under the clutch pedal. Has anyone had this issue, and any suggestions as to where this water ingress would be coming from? reading up on it, it could be from the door, the plenum chamber or somewhere else. thx
  3. An update on this, I got an Exide Premium 027 from ECP in the end, Removing the plastic battery cover was the biggest challenge, along with the alarm going off, but the car fired up first time when fitted. The old (original) battery was totally dead, the car seems to have a bit more life about it now, and fuel consumption seems to have decreased, not sure how/if this is related to the change in battery
  4. I need to replace the battery in my 08 1.9 tdi Roomster 3, looking on ECP, it will take either a 027 or 096 battery, currently it has a 027 which I believe is the original battery fitted. Any reason to upgrade to the 096 or just stick with the 027 spec?
  5. Been solderng in new capacitors to fix a monitor, and it worked after my unskilled attempt!

  6. Has been in Glentress for the weekend

  7. For the internal bike rack, would decribe it as OK, not perfect, carrying MTB's it's ok, but it doesn't work as well with lighter road bikes, there they can flop around more. I also found that the strapping supplied with the rack, which is designed to be connected to a thin seatpost isn't much good, if you have a seatpost of more than 27.2mm it seems to be a very tight fit, also Skoda wants you to strap it to the load restaints on both sides of the boot, I gave up on this, and use a single ratcheting load strap, going to one side of the boot. Looking at it now, I think that a towbar mounted rack would be better, but living in a flat, means nowhere to put one when not in use, and as the internal mount can be left in permenantly, it is useful for that.
  8. Yep, not too supprised by it being quiet, the Roomster hasn't been out long enough to have major issues, there arn't too many ways to mod it, i.e. no VRS version like the Fabia
  9. The problem is you have a 1.9TDI, driving the same type of car with any less of an engine just won't be as good, and it was poverty spec. I had a Fabia 1.9TDI as a long term hire a few years a go, and was very impressed with it, and glad I got the 1.9TDI in my Roomster
  10. These are part KEA400003B, i.e. the old model Fabia 6Y, not the 5J which is the Roomster, so be careful if buying these, as they probably won't fit
  11. Yes, but not all of them, you have to get the right ones, for the front , the Fabia one fits, part #KEA700001, for the rear, these are unique to the Roomster, part #KEA770002 or for 2010 models KEA770003 Have a look here for details of accessories available http://www.accessories.skoda.co.uk/
  12. If it covered by the aftermarket warranty, why not get these done on that?
