  1. I have a similar problem on my 2011 Superb. Although my problem is that the actuator moves the pin back to open position after approx 8 seconds after I close the boot. Door still stays shut though (locking mechanism in the door works fine). If I disconnect the wire connected to the actuator and connect it within the said 8 seconds it happens again. If connected after 8 seconds have passed. it stays shut. This happens regardless of engine running or not.... Actuator is part number 4F9 827 383 E
  2. Hi. I´ve been looking at BSR tuning (www.en.bsr.se) for my 2011 Superb. Their website tells me I will have approx 191hp and 431 nm after the tuning. I think these numbers are abit high, but my main concern is if the DSG can handle that tourqe. I sent an email to BSR regarding my concern, and they have assured me that it will be fine. Anyone have any thoughts about this? I know MTM only takes the DSG to 380nm. Regards Andreas
  3. I have the 140 4x4 DSG, and I am pretty happy with it. I am, however, considering a remap. I don´t really need it, but I kinda miss having more power. I am considering doing a MTM remap since MTM has a long history with VAG. They offer 170 hp and 380nm for the 140 4x4 DSG. The only reason why I´m holding back is my concern about voiding the warrenty. I find the 4x4 very usefull though, but then again, I drive a lot on shabby, snow covered roads. Had my first icy road encounter for this season just last week, I kept trying to find the clutch during the understeer even tough I´ve had the car for almost a year...
  4. Ok, I´ve learned something new today (aux heation auto on). When it turns on automatically, does the indicator light turn on? Can´t remember seeing it on (if I haven´t activated it), that´s why I didn´t think it would turn on automaticlly. Sorry for the OT....
  5. Not sure what you mean here, but my factory fitted webasto has never started up on its own...
  6. I have the webasto on my car, and I am pretty sure it can be retrofitted. I use mine every day during winter season (I live in Norway) and I would never have a diesel engine again withour it. I have tried to give you some of the differances and som pros and cons (IMHO): Webasto: Uses diesel from the fueltank (approx 0.5-1.0l/h), can be set to start at different times in the MFD or started on the climate control panel, or by remote (love to start it in the skilift before the last run of the day  ). It warms up the cooling water and also makes the climate control blow warm air through the wents in the coupe. Pros: Warme engine before start Warm coupe Does not need an electrical outlet Cons: Drains battery. My dealer told me to be sure to drive for atleast 30 mins after using it to recharge battery, so it is not adviced to use it before short drives. Do not use inside garage due to exhaust. The cheaper option which you apperantly are getting may be a heater which uses electricity (cord from car to outlet) to heat up the car. I´m guessing here, but you might be getting a DEFA warm up. Pros: Warm coupe Charges battery at the same time (maintenance charge) Can be used inside a garage Cons: Nees an electric outlet Does not warm up engine. It is usually more expensive to retrofit the webasto rather than getting it with the car.
  7. Hi. I use spotify with my columbus all the time by bluetooth. I´ve tried using spotify through MDI aswell, but when a song finishes, it starts playing from music from the "ipod app" instead so I´ve decided to stick to blutooth. Unfortunately spotify can not be controlled from the colubus and song titles are not shown (as far as I know).
  8. Mine shows speed limits. I think you have to choose to show speed limits in setup or options somewhere. (I know I´ve seen the option, just don´t remember where.)
  9. I agree. My wife sat between my two kids (3 months & 3 years, both rear-facing seats) for 2 hrs. She won´t make a habbit of it, but it was doable and no complaints.
  10. Foamcannon with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash&Gloss Rim7 on rims Bucket with Meguiar's NXT and mitt Meguiar's Quick detailer spray (The car has already been been sealed with Fireglaze) Swissvax Black Pneu on tires Black WOW on black plasic parts
  11. I was told the same thing by my Skoda dealer, except the part about Skoda child seats. So I didn´t go for the extra rear airbags either...
  12. Basiclly what the guy from Skoda is saying, is that they don´t know why it happend, but it had to do with rim size, tire size and weight (what a surprise). He says they have stopped selling 18" until they have some results from why it happend. They have a list over who has 18" on that car in Sweden and are ready to notify them if someting has to be done. He tells them not to worry. The video is nearly a year old, so I suppose they have come up why. I could not spec my 4x4 with 18" from the dealer, I was told it could not be combined with bad road package. Don´t know if this has anything to do with the moose test though.
  13. I ordered mine yesterday, £21.25 including shipping to Norway isn´t bad. Looking forward to getting them
