  1. Its the passager side rear I've had the problem but will probably leave it alone now its working until after the mot next month.
  2. Yes I was looking on ebay for one myself.I might buy one just in case it starts playing up again.
  3. My left side rear door had this and was dead locked for about a week.I managed to get working by locking and unlocking with fob and taping (banging) on and around the door handle. When it finally opened I took the door card off and sprayed dw40 on all the connecters and the lock.Touch wood its.seams to be working.
  4. Looks really good but going over a bump wouldn't the tyres rub on on the archs?
  5. Had it nearly 5 years.Got it when someone crashed into the back of my old Vauxhall Cavalier.By far the fastest car I've ever driven (which isn't saying alot). After fixing the central locking I've had very few problem with it.

  10. I Just filled up with Tesco Momentum 99 about hour ago at 114.9 ltre its cheap as chips. When I use vpower or Momentum 99 I never notice any difference.
  11. Yes give it a couple of years and it'll be worth 10 grand . Btw I wasn't having go.Its just if I had put all that money and time into a car and than had to break it i'd be in tears.lol
  12. Thats what I don't get about some people who mod their cars they spend all that time and money modding it to how they want and then the minute they get bored or need a different car they break it for parts. They spend all that time just to scrap it at the end of the day.
  13. What I mean by unknown quantity/quality how good the modified are compared oem, also how many times have you heard "its meant to have a remap" but then not knowing who remapped.Your right some modified very well looked after but alot have changed hands 2 or 3 times and moded by different people at different times.
  14. A modifed car is an unknown quantity and as such would have less value than a bog standard one.So 4 grand is well over the top.
  15. The door loom probably shagged as well.I had to replace both before everything worked as it should.
  16. Had a small oil leak.It turn out to be coming from the oil filter and a new oil filter stopped it.
  17. The front drivers side door is probably the window motor/control module and /or door loom. Does the lights on buzzer work when you open the drivers door?
  18. I use redex myself but I don't see a problem with it myself,The water turns to steam inside of the engine. As long as you don't use buckets of water it shouldn't be a problem.
  19. Just to check I've got this right when replacing the clips make sure you don't break the the fuel filter?
  20. Thats pretty much same age and mileage as my vrs and was wondering the same thing.I've been looking at cambelt kits on ebay to try and keep costs down.Would this kit be ok http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TIMING-CAM-BELT-KIT-WATER-PUMP-SKODA-OCTAVIA-RS-1-8-T-AUQ-Engines-01-/321226548553?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aca982549
  21. 130k and 11 years wow I would have thought at the very least the waterpump would have gone before then .Whats recommended miles and age before a cambelt change?
  22. I had water in both front and back footwells and it turned out to be water getting in through the pollen filter housing. P.S You sure its a vrs them seats aren't vrs seats.
