quick update . got a valeo smf £220 . so its getting fitted on thursday for £100 so more slip is it a decent clutch

the amount of problems from a little black box in the drivers door causes a lot of electical gremlins . why hasnt skoda had a recall on this shody piece of electric misplacement

do the mirrors work ok

i had simaliar problem except the windows . the key would lock the car using keyhole but the red led did not work and it did not lock itself when driving away

not sure . but i do know the black box is a week point . does the led light work on drivers door .

sounds like a broken pin in drivers door little black box its attached to window wind mechanism.

hello folks . has any one out there in skoda land had transmech clutchs or heard of them or been let down by one or made up to have it. please help ime at my wits end and dont know where to turn to next

been offered replacement of all bits and converted to normal clutch for £280 quid all in

is a upgrade needed when changing a clutch . got 60 thou out of last 1 . i would be happy to get the same again . the car is standard bhp . thanks

sounds like black box on window mechanism inside the door big connecter and loads of wires water gets in and rusts the pins in the connecter and causes mirrors and locking and red light not to work good luck with it i had trouble on my rs mk1 all sorted now

sounds like black box trouble inside the doors try drivers side first its on the window winder mechanism

sounds like the black box in drivers door is missing 1 pin which leads to yellow and black wire i had same trouble with mirror joy stick only controling passenger side in both positions and central locking and red light not working once the pin that was only half there was soldered to a wire and bypassed the plug its all fine

drivers door black box on the window assembly inside water has got at it a smaall pin that leads to black and yellow wire broken off due to rost solder a wire to whats left and snip wire on other side and connect it to wire on new bit good luck ive done mine 2 days ago and all is fine

snap ive got a vrs and having nightmare with exact issue i spoke to a bloke from audi and reckons the wiring loom has a broken wire in the bent part from body to door got a car electrician looking into it and noticed it was changed under warranty by previous owner because of the sticker on it had the date it was changed if it turns out to be the loom i will let skoda drivers know

sounds like the central locking on drivers door their the control ones you can get them on ebay 48 quid and sounds like cable snapped on window mine has gone within 3 year warranty and got replaced good luck

is the car in question early vrs octavia as in mk 1 because mine does the same plus other wacky stuff

the windows all work good and proper
