CD changer and rear washer not working
MickMc replied to stewie Griffin's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
In the boot , pull the carpet away from around the cd changer and there will be 3 plugs and the washer pipe , which sounds like it has come undone and has done the damage -
Anyone

Welcome , Alloys with a PCD of 5x100 will fit ( mk4 golfs , mk1 tt's , a3's)

As above , looking at getting the following activated on my mk1 vRS : Alarm confirmation beeps Auto locks (anti-hijack) at 10mph Remote operation of windows from key fob Cheers

Most BOV's will throw up a fault from what i have read , the forge split-r is what you'd be looking at for sound imo however i have read that a 007p plus a cai will have an increased noise over standard

I had a problem a few weeks back where the door locks would 'click' as if there are locking/unlocking , checked the door harness and the ccm module only to discover that the rear washer pipe connector at the cd changer has come undone and was leaking water into the plug behind the carpet making the locks go crazy ,after reconnecting the tube and letting the plug dry out then clean it with contact cleaner , it all works as should

I just done mine yesterday the same way Rob has , and it took about half an hour ,including removing trim , hardest part it getting it through the grommet where exsiting wires are

Wood Effect Plastic Dash panels
MickMc replied to PeterGAH's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
The one around the radio , open the ashtray and you can pull the lower part towards you , then you can pull it off -
UKMKIVS had a group buy on these last month and it came in at £94 delivered , and someone got some logs : and heres a graph of the forge SMIC

yep found the buches and brakents easy enough , what i was asking is if the vRS had the long metal type drop links like the pic , as in the how to's they are the shorter ones that attach to the wish bone :S Ha , only had it a few weeks so not had any time to give it a thorough clean , buts its just mud caked on all the parts which will be off soon enough
-
Looking at changing my FARB bushes , checked it out today after reading the other thread only to find i have the longer metal type drop links opposed to the short ones (pic below) , is this correct (car is a 2003 vRS). When i do replace them should be the 19mm ones (with the 17mm hole) i didn't see no plastic sleeve but its not to say there's not one there
-
Going to have a go at this on my '03 vRS as it has developed a slight creak , i assume with mine being a later model it should be the 19mm ones (with the 17mm hole)

Instead of starting a new thread , does anyone know if the estate and hatchback exhausts are the same , cheers
