I have a 1.4mpi classic 8v, the engine light comes on and off. the mpg varies from 18-30, and thats driving around 50-60mph. The first computer I had it on said 1st lambra sensor, a new one is about £140, so I got one off a 77000 mile one. it was ok for a day or 2 and then fault came again. So I took it back and got another one, with same results. I got a third one and same again. I took it to another mechanic, he said there was no reading from sensor (no voltage reading) Said it could be broken wire, but couldn't give me a price for fixing it. We tryed another sensor, but still no reading.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how was it fixed. Would really appreciate your help.
