  1. Thanks for the replies. The wheel is officially kippered. Need ideas for a new set of alloys. I think black alloys would look good on a yellow estate. Any ideas? Cheers Arn. Ps, I am not loaded so need sensible options.
  2. Pothole indeed, a rather large one hiding on a bend at about 70mph. Thought I might send the bill to the transport minister for a laugh;) Anyone got a repairers name and number? Cheers Arn
  3. Arrrgh. £300 !!!! Come on folks, someone must know where I can get one cheap(I am a Scotsman after all) or where I can get it repaired. Thanks for the posts so far, but I really need the name and contact details for a repair company. I am currently in a new house in the Brecon area of Wales. 5th house since 2006, the joys of working for HM Forces so something in the Wales / Herefordshire area would be good. Ps, Its bent in two places on the outside and one on the inside.
  4. A bit of help needed please. I have an alloy wheel of the same kind on the car below (Not my car. The only pic I could find of the right alloy, thanks to bahnstormer vrs who I pinched it off). Can anyone tell me the name of the wheel so that I can source another. My wheels are anthracite in colour. Or, can anyone point me in the direction of a company who can repair bent alloys? Many thanks for the help. Bigarn. Can anyone also tell me how to make the pic I pinched show on the post!!!
  5. Yellow looks great. Especially with anthracite alloys and tinted rear windows.
  6. Stoofa, I'm with you on this one. I had the dual zone on my last Vrs and it was great. It allowed the wife to freeze on the lo setting while I could keep some feeling in my body around the 18* mark. Since getting my 57 plate Vrs estate with the normal bog standard AC, it doesn't seem to get as cold. Fine for me, murder for the wife (she likes it cold ??). Also the foot blowers don't work. Will need to get it to the garage.
  7. Well done fella, to many people are far too quick to pounce on bad service and slate companies. It's nice to see that good service gets a nod too(all be it very rarely)
  8. Got mine many thanks MAS. Now just need to find time to fit them :( might take a while.
  9. There is a boot liner and a boot tray. The boot tray has larger lips up the side than the liner, although I have used the liner in my last two cars and it is absolutely bomb proof. Keeps the boot dry even with my babies soaking buggy in it. What it does not do is to keep the side carpets of the boot dry, when you open the boot in the rain and the carpy side rails direct half the rain on your boot into the car:( The only bad bit of the hatch design. Enjoy.
  10. Mas, Money sent via PP. Ta, Bigarn ps, working away for next 8 weeks. Any chance of delivery before the 30th May?
  11. Count me in. Had two sets already on my old cars. 1: collie (5) 2: robclubley (4) 3: turnerswfc (4) 4: RichL-Vrs (5) 5. ultra_joel88 (1) 6. bigarn(4) Thanks MAS for all your constant hard work on these group buys
  12. Yellow owners are unqiue and individual All the rest are just jelous cause they didn't have the bottle to get a good colour
  13. Mas, I would be interested in a new style set. The last 2 sets have been excellent but I cannot be bothered to take them off when I sell the cars. Cheers, Bigarn
  14. Had to take the car in for a service and once again I am pleased to say that the level of service was very good. The service was free, as arranged to make the origional sale sweeter, and the warranty work required to fix the faulty rear parking sensor was completed swiftly. I can only hope that the dealership continues to provide cracking service, otherwise I'll have to stop making the 500 mile trip from my house(will only get it serviced by my parents as its the best garage going).
  15. Howdy, I bought a Vrs hatch to replace my Fabia Vrs when we found out we were having a baby. Now that the nipper has arrrived I have had to go and buy a roof box to enable us to fit all the boys gear in the car. The boot in the hatch is rather large, but we have found that his pram takes up half the boot on it's own. All the other stuff required for a holiday would not fit in unless the rear seats were folded down. I will definately be buying an estate next time I get a new car(and another fabia Vrs when I can afford to run two cars). In my opinion it has got to be an estate, oh and defo in Black(the only colour in my opinion!!).
  16. Thanks for all the ideas folks. I have lifted the carpets and have found no problems, i'll check the door seals next time it rains. I think i'll also try sitting a pals dehumidifier in the car for a while. Bit like what smstext suggested. Hope it clears soon cause it's a right pain.
  17. More Ice on the inside of my windscreen than the outside this morning ! Have searched the forums and it seems that some of the Fabias are having this problem too. Any ideas why a 5 month old Octy might be suffering> Thanks in advance for any soultions ideas. I was wondering if sitting a dehumidifier in the car for a couple of hours might help?
  18. Ethos, Thanks for the guide. Used it as my motivation to fill time between dirty nappies whilst on paternity leave. Martziniuk, Thanks for the stanley knife peeling tip. Just a little sore on the hands. Managed to cut them to ribbons peeling bits of chrome away. Just hope that tomorrow is fair so that I can get the spraying done.
  19. I think a vrs badge would look good. As to changing the black badge I quite like it as is. Does anyone know if you can get black ones from anywhere as it would look good on a black cars bonnet?
  20. Thanks Mas, recieved them yesterday. Just need to find time to fit them
  21. That happened to me 3 years ago when I bought my Fabia Vrs. The dealer had to strip down half the fuel system and engine to clean it all up. Didn't have any other problems though. I think it depends how much diesel is in the tank when the petrol is added?
  22. Having recently bought sun shades form here I thought I'd stick my tuppence in. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and was told by the single salesman that he couldn't help me as that was not his department. All the parts people only work a half day on Saturdays !! However he did give me an accesories book. When I phoned on the Monday morning the lady I spoke to was more than helpfull and we arranged that I would go in the Next Saturday to have them fitted. The rear blind is the one that requires all the boot trim to come off. It is a pain as the guys spent 30 mins taking my boot trim apart for thr sake of 2 small clips!! All work was completed to a good standard and they only charged £ 13 for the labour. In all apart from the initial visit everything was fine.
  23. Wearing a Poppy is a way of showing respect. Thousands of Men and Women have paid the ultimate price in the defence of our country and there are still many men and women who take that risk every day. Wether or not you think current conflicts are right or wrong is insignificant on November 11th.
  24. The grills look the business. On a completely random note, your front steps look familiar? Did you own a race blue fabia before the octy? Only asking cause I sold a set of rear lights in NI earlier in the year and your photos look familiar.
