I had the same problem. Find a VCDS go Driver Seat Module, find and run seat adjustment reset. (Do not sit on driver seat as it will re-learn limit positions. ) Then clear the recorded fault codes. It will solve the problem.

One has glossy the other has matte finish.

Have you tried hardware reset. Press and hold power for some time. It may also work.

By the way, new iOS supports contact cards with photos. Just remove and add your favourites, your contacts pictures will be in your Bluetooth menu

If you have access to VCDS, check Infotainment Adaptations, these is a Street View adaptation in the list, it may work on your case. (I have old Columbus 8" and these is an adaptation which does not work in my old not network enabled car.)

No they are not related, I have retrofitted Smartgate it is not about it. It is a software based Columbus head unit feature which I hope can be enabled through some coding. I hope someone can post a list of adaptations list so we can explore the differences.

You'll see a heated wheel logo on the left corner of your headunit when you press left seat heating in climatronic panel. You need to click on it once to activate it.

If you are in a start & stop traffic, Activate Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise control, Keep a little away from the front car so the car can see the lane markings for some time. Keep in the same lane for sometime, straight line. Let it read a couple of lane markings. Don't try to change lines or aggressive steering mauevers. Then you'll see that Lane asssist will go green with ACC and your car will actually start steering.

Though it says starting W22/2016 cars have this feature, my w3/2016 Superb with columbus connects to the app through wifi seamlessly. Also cable connection to the AppleCarplay is possible. Replacing nearly all features of Smartgate and Skoda Drive app with a good interface. As the app is quite new so cant use it yet but it will also feature a carplay/android auto app that can be controlled via headunit. Probably Apple haven't signed the app as Carplay capable.

I have also same issue here, have to open app manually is meaningless. Also iPhone does not support smartgate update as Service app is now converted to MySkoda app. Drive app is also needs to be updated for iOS 10.

It is actually media command rear seat entertainment app. Unfortunately Superb does not support wireless Carplay.

Canton is really a good system but only when you are not using Columbus/Bolero as the DSP or player of the file. If you stream music from Apple Music HQ, interestingly, it sounds much better using external sources. It is also the case for FLAC files.
