Hi all Had my cam belt done at 4 yrs 45000 miles. Now coming upto 8 yrs and ready to do it again. The first time was just the cam belt so now I'm assuming I need the belt, water pump and tensioners/pulleys. Can anyone highlight further what I need and the best place to get them from? Thanks Ben

Cheers guys. I'm liking avalons thinking. My vRS runs nicely so why change something that's not broken. Specially as it seems from your opinions that the cars im looking at aren't too reliable in one way or another

Slight **** up on my part. That should be auris not avensis. Thanks for all the info to now. My thinking is. Seat-expensive for the age Toyota-done a lot of research and no one has a good thing to say about engine/economy etc Citroen-it's a Citroen. If I can't find anything that floats my boat in fairly economical diesels the only other things I like are Nissan 350s and Mazda 3 mps-obv with a massive insurance, tax and fuel increase

Just been searching the used car market for something a bit newer but similar to my 54 plate remapped Fabia. I've found three options in I) diesel ibiza cupra ii) remapped Citroen c2 vts hdi iii) Toyota avensis 2.2 d4d. I like all three but not to the point that they blow my mind for one reason or another. Any of you guys have opinions on my choices or offer me alternatives I haven't considered yet? Cheers all

Anyone tried this in a vRS? I've been reading up on it and it seems similar to millers but less hassle ie 1 application every 6-9000 miles. Cheers

Cheers guys, im starting to think it is the battery. Thinking back ive also had the light out sign come on randomly when ive been braking or reversing but on checking the lights are fine. Theres also been 2-3 occasions where ive started the car and the power steering hasnt kicked in straight away.

Hi all Just completed a 200 mile trip. Had no problems at all with the car prior. Stopped briefly at the shop on the way home and the car has suddenly gone from turning over first time every time to having to be turned over 2-3 times. The car eventually starts (quite quickly compared to some cars ive had over the years). But as im used to it starting first time every time for the last 5 years im thinking something is amiss. My assumption was Glow Plugs but someone also mentioned Starter Motor. But ive also thought battery? As its very much on its way out. Should add, the car runs fine once started. Thanks all, Ben p.s. Hi all, The wishbone console bushes have gone after 80k. I've got the cupra ones on order as these should be sufficient for me needs. The question I have is...for the sake of an extra 20 quid or whatever should I have the front wishbone bushes done at the same time? Or is it a much bigger job? If the advice is for me to have the front ones done too, should i also be looking at the cupra type or will the standard oem Fabia ones do? Sorry if the questions are a bit noddy but suspension is beyond my minimal expertise level. Thanks all, Ben

Due to upgrading my front speakers i now have a set of OEM speakers and 1 x tweeter available. Im also looking at taking out the rear OEM speakers. Are said speakers actually worth anything second hand if i put them on Fleabay as i have no real idea of their value new or second hand Thanks all in advance

Hi just a quick question as my memory has gone to pot since i turned 35. I have a Fabia VRS with Octavia alloys on and im wanting some Toyo Proxes but do i want the T1-R or the 4 as they have similiar reviews on Black Circles? Thanks in advance

Looking for some main beam bulbs and not quite sure what the options are. Got a 54 VRS with standard lights. Theres no washers on any such on them. Are these lights/bulbs normal? Are they Halogen? Are they Xenon? Help is appreciated thanks

See £62 for a set of mats seems a tad steep to me. Think scrapyard is a good idea thanks
