I think the balck looks quite good on the red irish car here, was thinking any future curbing would be easy to repair of even touch up if I could get the wheel compnay to provide a sample of the paint used

The plot thickens, the car is 6 months old, and just read a few people are having problems with these wheels with laquer flaking off and having wheels replaced, so perhaps I should leave it a while and see if I end up with one of my non curbed wheels getting warrantly replaced? Or even the curbed one flaking where it isnt curbed?

Car is Corrida red to note, may help you advise me to change the colour of them to all black

Hi had my first curbing, unavoidable, a piece of jagged concrete sticking out from the base of a gate post that wasn't visible. I was driving, always thought my wife would end up curbing them and eventually end up painting them as I don't quite like the Anthracite finish, I have the black design pack and thought all black wheels would look better. So my question is what are my options and what do you think? What have you done to your wheels? I suppose my options to consider are replace the one wheel (is it worth the cost, don't know this but imagine not cheap), find someone that can refurb it (I believe not easy but not impossible as laster etched?), I am in Chelmsford so any local recommendation appreciated, or colour change them all to all black, what black do you think, satin or gloss? I guess gloss is more practical, and I could probably get a sample of the paint for future touch-ups, again local recommendations appreciated in Essex around Chelmsford. Thanks all for your thoughts and advice/recommnedations.

ordered a VRS TDI last Tuesday and got price locked just before price rise and spec increase, so waiting for a 2015 car at 2014 price, phew lucky timing

Nothing really, it's convenient date, my current car tax runs out on 31st and also from October 1st cars will no longer have a tax disc, I had shenanigans in 2010 with a simple SE, build dates kept changing etc...post floods in Czechoslovakia etc...it worked out well in the end though, we got £350 of accessories free and also some compensation for added running costs incurred and depreciation of my old car so they can take as long as they like What did you order?

Not gone mad on specs as its a big financial jump from my current 62 plate SE connect and also so it does not affect the build too much, Corrida red, Sunset Glass, Black Pack, Park Assist Had a demo of the park assist and it seemed a little fussy about the spaces we picked but still decided to opt it

Had similar issues with my previous Octavia ordered in 2010 and didn't see it until well into 2011 after having various build dates move forwards, backwards and disappear, they do have a compensation scheme which from memory comes from their warranty department? red was my preferred to start, just about to go for test drive, i also have an A5 black edition in red, looks brilliant, be good to have them matching, agreed white a little common, swaying towards red again now lol

I hope to have another look tomorrow but weather predicited to be freezing,hope to get the wire through from the cabin to the engine bay (with wire coat hanger or similar) rather than removing loads of stuff like the battery etc. The 2820 remote head rests nicely on top of the recess made from the opening of the cubby hole just in front of the gearbox. The recess is slightly bigger so some velcro or similar will be required to stop it from knocking from side to side when going round corners etc......The aerial I have is a Diamond AZ-507RSP, I found that the trunk is just over 1m high and this antenna is 75cm long, the mount is a Diamond K-413 which adds a few cms, all in all though this will keep it below the average 2m height restrictions most car parks have

Picked up SE Connect yesterday really pleased with the colour Steel Grey

Picked up the car yesterday, just had a quick look at the grommit under the glovebox, looks a bit tight to feed a cable through anybody got any tips on how to get a cable through?
