Code P261 A and B- turbo cooling pump
Had this code come up. Took off the pump and it was open curcuit so I replaced it with a (?) Chinese equivalent as shown in the YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51mrEzerYQU New pump works - my son's computer can make it run and I can feel it running for a second after the engine is switched off. Car runs fine but the codes remain.I presume that this is because the car's computer does not speak Chinese? Has any one else met this?

Coolant recirculation pump 2 fault codes P261A and B Octavia II/III with CAYC engine.
Had my son's computer talk to the car. He was able to actuate the pump with it and I could hear and feel it running. Perhaps the pump speaks Chinese and the car German?

Coolant recirculation pump 2 fault codes P261A and B Octavia II/III with CAYC engine.
To continue as nobody has posted for several years. I had this code (actually two codes, P261A and B) The old pump, unchucked from the bin shows no continuity across any of the pins so is declared dead. I replaced it with the EBay £14.94 version which is shown on the You Tube video and cleared the codes but they have both come back. I guess I need to check Common Causes of P261BFaulty coolant pump: A malfunctioning coolant pump can trigger this code if it is not circulating coolant properly through the engine. Wiring issues: Damage or corrosion to the wiring connected to the coolant pump control circuit can cause a malfunction. Faulty coolant pump relay: A faulty relay that controls the operation of the coolant pump can result in this code being triggered. Defective coolant temperature sensor: If the coolant temperature sensor is not providing accurate readings to the control module, it can cause issues with the coolant pump operation. but finding where all these things are is not easy. Can anyone help please?

Fuel return pipe leakage 1.6 tdi (Mark2/3 intermediate!).
Recently removed and replaced the injectors to cure an oil leak. Fuel return pipe was damaged in the process so replaced it. Now the connectors pop out (only one at a time) when running. I fitted new clips but there is not supposed to be any pressure in this side of the system? I have another new line which I will fit and I think I will wind some wire round to hold them in place (pipe fits into the side of the injectors in my car) but I wonder why it should have developed this quirk. Any one any ideas?

Cooling fan relay
Curiouser and curiouser. I took out the relay and left it. Next day car was dead. Replaced relay, car starts and runs, no buzzing. Bit like a computer turn it off and turn it on again?

Cooling fan relay
Buzzing noise from under the bonnet when switched off proved to come from the cooling fan relay (100) in the underbonnet fuse box. I took it out and took off its cover and it looks OK. I have never known a relay do this before. The car was recently flooded to about a foot deep but is going oK apart from one fan which would not stop and has been disconnected. Is the problem in the relay or in the fan?

Flooded!
The Octavia superb estate (1.6TDI) was flooded. Water entered at the bottom of the doors and filled the footwells. It also entered the timing belt cover but I took that off and cleaned out all the mud and the engine worked perfectly. However, a few days later it went into limp mode. We have codes; P068400 Glow time contrlo unit 1 P229400 Fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit x2 P261A00 coolant pump B control circuit open P068700 ecm/pcm power relay control circuit high. Non of the electronics in the engine bay was immersed so we are wondering if there is something simple low down in the cabin that has got wet. It seems odd that this should have happened some days after the flood. Anyone any ideas please?

CD error message
My Bolero CD player (2012 Octavia estate Elegance) keeps coming up with a CD error message after playing a few minutes of the disc. I have used a cleaning disc several times and also cleaned the CDs but it makes no difference. Is this a software or a hardware issue and is there a fix please?
