  1. Sadly not no news as yet re-bled the fuel system and fuel going to injectors ok all glow plugs working fine. If I spray cold start into inlet manifold it will fire but still won't run on its own. I am now waiting on a code reader to see if it can tell me what the problem is once I know I will post the answer here in the meantime any other ideas are more than welcome
  2. Just what we neeed a mystery maybe we need DCI Barnaby on the case LOL!!! Still would be nice to know what it is though mainly because if I spray some cold start into the manifold where the butterfly is it will fire so I am back to square one I will re-prime the system today and let you know how I get on
  3. Sadly I can't add a picture but if you look at the end of the air filter hose that is attached to the inlet manifold where the throttle butterfly is on the outer face is a black plastic plug and this is what is buzzing I keep thinking its some kind of position sensor? but I don't how it works or if it can be bypassed or reset? Hope this helps identifying it
  4. Many Thanks for all the help, No such thing as a silly question but yes there is lots of fuel in the tank. As for the relays I read a thread on here about a fuel pump relay but I have only seen 3 so far, a number 18, the 109 and I cannot remember the other one 36?. I did read on here someone mentioned a 410 relay but goodness knows where to look for that one as I couldn't see anymore under the dash. The only other point to mention is a buzzing noise coming from the plug by the air hose and inlet manifold I have no idea what this is apart from annoying any ideas?
  5. Hi all, Just out of curiousty can anyone tell me if there is a seperate electric fuel pump under the car as I looked at the unit that sits in the top of the fuel tank and it just looks like a sender unit to say how much fuel is in the tank? I did notice the plunger pot but it just looks mechanical? Basically no fuel is getting up to the fuel filter hence won't start. the 109 relay is pulling in but I am not sure where to look next? Any guidance would be welcome as I am a diesel dummy!!!
  6. Well had my nightmares surely someone must know what the buzzing plug is if nothing else????
  7. Got a reply from sko spares they don't have any stock of wheel bearings or new hanbrake cables? How do I sign up to the freedom part of this forum I need answers about the buzzing otherwise I am going to have nightmares!!
  8. You are probably right I have just been looking at skospares don't know if they are any good but will give them a try
  9. many thanks sadly I cannot get onto a vag at present due to where the car is located. I have checked around the wiring but cannot see any thing untoward at presnt
  10. Hi all, Still trying to sort out sisters fabia 1.9SDI found fuel pump relay which is pulling in ok but the fuel pump on the fuel tanks seems dead no reading from my multimeter? Also still have a buzzing noise on the plug on the top outer body by the throttle flap and air filter hose? any ideas whats causing this???? Lastly tried ordering bits from Jorily 8 emails and 6 calls later and I am still waiting for a reply can anyone recommend a Skoda parts supplier and someone teccy I could talk to as this is driving me nuts PLEASE
  11. Surely one of you wonderful teccys knows where the ful pump relay is and how to get to it???
  12. Many Thanks, Any help is better than no help
  13. Hi All, Managed to check over my sisters fabia 1.9 sdi today but knowing little about these cars is a bind and she is panicing because she is a nurse and needs to get to work. Anyway all glow plugs are ok and apart from a buzzing noise on the plug above the air intake pipe I noticed the fuel tank pump was not making any noise. There is a circuit down to it of about 3 volts but the pump is silent. I have read a few threads on here saying there is a relay for it but I can't find any on the car. I did find the fusebox on the drivers side but no relays?? Also is there a safety cut out switch that needs to be checked??? If anyone has a picture of it and knows how to find it please let me know otherwise my sister is going to swipe my car!!!
  14. Even with continual cranking car will not start unless I spray you know what down the air intake pipe and then it will briefly fire. As a petrol head I know nothing about glow plugs how to remove them let alone check them. As for the light it does gout briefly after the ignition is turned on but if left on thats when then buzzing noise starts. If unplug that sensor it stops. Is this related to the glow plugs??? Really sorry guys I am a diesel dummy so any help would be appreciated
  15. Just been to look at the car and found the following, There is what look likes a number eight on its side that flashes when you turn the ignition on and there is a buzzing noise coming from a electrical socket just above the air intake pipe beside the inlet manifold. The car is an 03 1.9SDI not a TDI so any help would be most welcome
