had this happen on or audi and in that instance i left the hand brake off and left it in gear

hi tp yes it is my12. Only noticed the oil leak as the drive is on a slope and the oil came out of the sump gaurd hole at the back. If it was parked on the level or downhill would never have noticed. My consern is have they made a batch of leaking boxes,that may give new owners problems when the oil drains out.

hi everyone anyone tried yeti sharing. had our yeti for just over two weeks. The garage has now had it for over two weeks :'( should be back fingers crossed at the end of the week. With a new gearbox. Hope theres not a design fault with the new 170 gearbox. anyone else had a problem.

thanks for all the advice. skoda uk still insist on stripping the gear box.The dealer and me are insisting on a new gearbox. I can obviously reject the car but we love the car and what would we do then no car and an eight month wait again! also does anyone have an e nail for someone high up in skoda uk many thanks pete davey

thanks kasha done all what you have said but skoda uk want to strip the box. Im shocked as well winners of driver power and all. i can reject the car but what then no yeti. skoda uk will definately be getting major publicity out of this.

thanks for the replies. at the moment the dealer wants to replace the gearbox as to strip it would neednew bearings and reshimming. I want either a new box or new car. I have the option to reject it but we really like the car and having waited 9 months for it how long to get another one?

hi everyone The oil leak from our yeti turns out to be the gearbox. Its A faulty gasket from new. The dealer wants to replace the gearbox but skoda uk want to rebuild it. As the car has only done 300 miles i would appreciate your views.

i do hope it is something simple. Luv the car but if it is serious like a crank seal. Just my luck you wait nine months for a car and ots faulty.

hi everyone. our two week old and 300 mile 170 elegance is leaking oil. anyone else had a problem? its in the dealers tommorow so will keep you updated. Not to happy at the moment as its the only new car ever that has soiled itself :S

bottom end i think maybe sump gasket. cant really see a lot with the sump gaurd in place.

thanks bahnstormer. will put the rears up to 33psi and fronts to 35 psi and monitor the difference.
