Hi guys, Just had a slight issue with my new Skoda Yeti - I inserted the key into the ignition, but it wouldn't turn. The car was unlocked with the alarm off. I tried getting out, locking and unlocking, but to no avail! Am I missing something obvious?! Thanks in advance!

Spoke to Admiral about replacing my current car (Smart Roadster Coupe) with the Yeti and they gave me some money back! Just goes to show you should always get other quotes!

Thanks guys, Really, really impressed with the colour - the catalogue and test strips don't do it justice! Given that you can't order a Tangerine Yeti with sunroof anymore, I'm pretty pleased with the selection! Now, how should I pimp it out? Was thinking chrome door sill protectors and the chrome drinks holder insert. Have I missed anything?

Had a nice surprise from the dealer over the weekend - my Yeti has arrived! I drove around to the dealers and it's sitting on the forecourt! It's a Tangerine 140bhp 2.0 CR Tdi 4x4 DSG with a panoramic sun roof. Ordered late January, to be picked up early June. Not bad! Initial photos attached - more when I pick up the car on Friday!

Wait, really?! My dealer accepted my panoramic roof order and didn't mention park assist not being available! To top it off, I'm still hoping my tangerine colour isn't removed before it's made. I might have to give him a call and get my order status checked!

That sucks! Sorry you can't get your colour. I ordered a Tangerine diesel 20 Jan (and amended sunroof March) - but I'm yet to hear if they'll honour my order colour. (no build week either). What would be the closest to the Tangerine, I'm not that keen on the Safari metallic?

If it's entered a 'frozen state', it sounds like its production slot is now fixed. I added the sunroof option to my similar 2.0 TDi Elegance UK spec this week (ordered mid-Jan), and i probably won't see it this side of August. It may highlight the difference in priority that VAG/Skoda are giving to UK orders. Should we all start ordering Irish Yeti instead?!

Well done with the order! I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer on my order amendment - I'm betting August 2011.
