Instrument Cluster - seat belt warning light consistently dimly lit
So may have made progress. Took cluster out today separated it and sprayed the back with electric cleaner and used cotton buds to clean all the tracks. Lots of black residue on some of the holes on the tracks. Anyway seems to have sorted it as light is now off. I'm confident it wasn't due to power being off as I had previously removed and reinstalled fuse to no avail.

Fabia VRS - Can select gear but no acceleration
Thanks, is there anyway I can check this for myself or any tests I can perform? And what's the likely damage and cost to sort?

Fabia VRS - Can select gear but no acceleration
Maybe but surely that wouldn't allow me to get into the gears when engine is started without pressing clutch?

Fabia VRS - Can select gear but no acceleration
Hi all, I own a Fabia VRS and today when I was driving it I came to a junction, selected first gear and suddenly the car wouldn't move. Clutch seems okay as it's not been slipping nor is pedal at the floor. With engine started I can move gear selector in to all 6 gears without needing to press clutch. I did have a quick look at gear linkage at box and I could see movement when moving through the gears but car doesn't seem to engage and move/accelerate. Any thoughts?

I tend to agree, just not sure where to start and I'm not great with a soldering iron

Instrument Cluster - seat belt warning light consistently dimly lit
As above since acquiring my 2003 1.4 Fabia I have noticed that the seat belt warning light is dimly lit on instrument cluster. It's hard to see in the day but at night it's there. The car doesn't have seat belt warning so it's kind of a redundant light. I have connected VCDS and messed about by setting car into thinking it did have seat belt warning, and warning light comes on as expected and is bright. Setting it back to no, reverts it back to the constant dimly lit seat belt.

V68 control motor for temperature flap
Red is where the V68 module is located and blue is where the V154 module is. I hope this helps someone in the future.

V68 control motor for temperature flap
Hello everyone, I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to share a solution I found for a tricky HVAC issue that might help others. I had a problem with my car's climate control, specifically with error codes related to the V68 and V154 actuator motors. First, let's clarify what these are: V68: This is the temperature flap motor that controls the temperature of the air coming into the cabin. V154: This is the recirculation flap motor that controls whether the air is taken from outside or recirculated within the cabin. My initial issue was with the V68 module (part number 0 132 801 207). A new one was way too expensive, so I took a chance on a different but similar part (0 132 801 357). The connector was different; it was a rectangular one instead of the oval one I needed. Fortunately, it came with a wiring pigtail, which allowed me to confirm the pinouts were the same. Here's how I handled the wiring: I carefully removed the wires from the old oval connector on my car's loom. I then removed the wires from the rectangular pigtail that came with the new module. Finally, I inserted the wires from my car's loom into the new rectangular connector. This fixed the V68 issue, and the motor came to life. However, I was still getting V154 error codes, and the V68 module was only working at maximum hot or cold settings, with no in-between. This had me scratching my head for a bit. After some more searching, I realised the problem was that I had two separate issues, not just one. I found the V154 module, I already had a spare part for this since I had accidentally bought the wrong one for the V68 initially. I swapped out the V154 module, ran the basic settings adaptation using VCDS and everything started working perfectly. The main takeaway is that if you're getting multiple HVAC codes, you might have more than one failing part. Don't assume a single fix will solve all your problems! But if I'm being honest I wonder if the V154 was the issue module all along as it seems like they work in tandem.

Hi, just purchased a Fabia and one of the issues it has is the windows won't go fully all the way down by holding button, it keeps stopping and I have to keep pressing it to go down or up. Same for passenger side. Any help much appreciated
