  1. Well, credit where it's due, I contacted DMK Huddersfield when my service was due towards the end of April. I was quoted an excellent price and after contacting other dealers, I called DMK and booked my car in. Took the car in, service was done at price quoted with no issues. All service updates were applied and the car was washed. I was also told my car was subject to a Škoda recall for the badges and that they'd call me once they got the badges in stock. Got the call last Monday, car went in yesterday, all done in half an hour. Whilst waiting I was chatting to the new service manager who informed me that a number of staff had been replaced as part of a shake up, something which seems to have had a positive effect. I will use DMK again and hopefully the improved service will be maintained.
  2. Mine had that for a few days, then arrived in UK, then I got a call from the dealer saying they had it. Collected it a week later due to bank Hols etc, that was last May, but I would suggest yours will pan out the same.
  3. Got the kit I needed from eBay this week, just over £10 for the lead and usb key drive. Updated firmware Thursday pm, no issues, seems to have cured the annoying drop out at the start of a track. Happy to assist anyone in Hudds, Halifax area with updating if you don't have the kit yourself, just pm me.

  6. 20 weeks for a Peugeot or Nissan? Having owned both in the past I wouldn't wait 20 minutes!
  7. I'm 40 and got my Superb two months ago after having owned a 320d for almost 2 years, would not go back under any circumstances, can't fault the Superb at all. That's not surprising though, had my Superb mk1 when I was 35, sold at 37 to allow swmbo to buy her "must have" 4x4 and regretted until getting my new one!
  8. I'm not surprised, they seem keen enough to tell everyone how good they are but very rarely live up to it imo.
  9. Have they updated the MDI firmware for you at the same time?
  10. Have you got the MDI sorted? My phone was the problem, not bt module. Had to have the phone relished by my mobile operator and now working fine with bt. Works phone is fine and gives full rsap connectivity despite being an ancient Nokia!
  11. I need to invest in some new car cleaning kit and have generally used Autoglym and found their products to be very good. Just curious as to what everyone else uses or recommends before I splash the cash. Does anyone have any must buys or must avoids?
  12. Having now used the Columbus for a month, I've found it to be an excellent piece of kit. Navigation is good, as we live on a new development that isn't yet shown on maps, the facility to set the home address using co-ordinates has proved very useful. I'm happy with radio and MDI sound too. Only issue is that the Columbus and my phone have fallen out, but as the phone is an HTC desire I'm not surprised given the problems others have experienced. That said, the phone needs to go for repair according to my phone company, software needs completely reloading, so I'm hoping this may solve the issue.

  15. Sorry sir, I'll take my punishment with good grace I was pushed for time tbh, but do intend to invest in some "proper" car washing kit so I can lavish the correct level of care upon Superb! As for swmbo, with a 2 and 3 yr old, chance would be a fine thing! :S
