Actually I had this very same problem on my 4 month old estate recently. The dealer said that water was getting in through the front bulkhead drivers side via a wiring loom I think, then running along a channel to the passenger side I believe. They reckoned that was definitely the problem but I haven't had a chance to drive it much yet to confirm. Maybe ask your dealer to contact the guys at 'Specialist Cars Skoda' Dundee for more info on the silver vRS estate they did in early November.

Do you know if these would fit and work with the projector lights that come with the black pack ??
-
Spoke to the local dealer and apparently the curve projectors were not available with the 'black pack' as fitted to model 2012 cars. I'll now be getting a refund as I paid for the option when it was available at the time of ordering.
-
I've done that and no obvious movement, I presume they do look slightly different from the non curve ones ??
-
So is this 100% correct, no front fog lights on the model 2012 vRS, can't seem to find them on mine anyway. Does anyone have a picture handy of the model 2012 curve projector light option ?? I ordered this but not convinced I have it, no obvious movement of light beams that I can see.

No sunroof and rear washer seems to work fine, also passenger seat seems ok just the passenger carpets being wet. Normally I'd start my own investigation but the car is only 4 months old so I'd have expected the dealer to take a bit more interest, especially as continuing to use it in the wet will probably leave them with a bigger bill, but more annoyingly more inconvenience to me the customer. Will talk to them again on Monday and take it from there.
-
Well can't see anything obvious, the dealer can't look at it for almost a month apparently !!
-
Just wondering if anyone has had any water ingress problems, resulting in wet passenger footwell carpets in particular ?? My car was stored up in the garage for 7 weeks, found the passenger carpet all wet and covered in mould, I'm presuming water got in from somewhere before it was parked up. Did a search and someone mentioned a potential leak into the footwell via the pollen filter, any other ideas ?? Cheers, Sandy

Great for reading glasses, use it all the time myself.

Anyone found mud guards for the vrs?
Sandy 59 replied to apmaman's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
If you look close you can almost see mine in the picture, dealer fitted them without any issues. -
I don't think it affects the maxidot display as such, just that it doesn't show up on the display like the factory fitted one does.

Some info here : http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/184878-today-i-replaced-my-rns510-columbus-with-a-kenwood-dnx520vbt Looks a nice unit, don't think it interfaces with the maxidot though, and doesn't display the parking sensors either if you have them, still get sound though.

Very smart, really suits that wheels I think.

Very nice that colour combo, it was a toss up between white and silver for me, no black roof available on the estate though. Enjoy it !!

The Fabia vRS Review and Photo thread
Sandy 59 replied to vRSy's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Silver Estate, posted elsewhere but just to keep it in the official photo thread : -
Yes went for the curve projector lights having been impressed with them on another car, haven't actually has these ones on yet to be honest. Happy with the wheels too, although I think with silver they would probably also look good in black. The wheels do look like they could be easily kerbed though, has anyone done this yet ??
-
Thanks again, yes I think I'll look into doing something with the rear lights, not sure if you're allowed to just put a window tinting film over them maybe ?? The Ambassador mats are well worth it I think, look very good quality -great tip from someone on here a while back. Off out for a blast now !! Cheers.
-
It's impressively quick that's for sure, I haven't checked the mpg yet since picking it up yesterday !!
-
Thanks folks, quite surprised at the attention it seems to draw on the road too !! First Skoda and genuinely impressed with the whole experience so far, apart from the delivery times but I don't think they're the only manufacturer with UK delivery issues at the moment.

Well picked up my silver vRS estate yesterday, a few reservations about going for silver but very happy with the looks to be honest, haven't had a silver car for ages and wanted a lower maintenance colour for a change. Not much to add about what has already been said about the vRS, great fun to drive, comfortable, seems well built, and loads of room for our needs. Ordered in late January and was almost starting to lose interest, but very glad I didn't cancel it now. Quite like the 'black pack' but surely they should have done the rear lights as well ?? Anyway a few pictures :

NEW RED VRS BLACK PACK WITH PHOTOS
Sandy 59 replied to dickyd's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Well picked up mine today, projector lights in black, will post a couple of pics tomorrow. -
Silver for me, I think that'll look fine on the estate with black roof rails etc, and I wanted a low maintenance colour. Week 24 build apparently, so will see what happens.
