  1. Sorry BossFox, I didn't know we were allowed to post eBay links! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261658503733?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. I've had my name on a plate for a few years now GRE608Y (Gregory) and i've got G4O UK on my Polo G40
  3. How's this for bad luck! Last week the ABS and ASC lights came on. It's been in the garage and they have diagnosed it as a faulty ABS pump or the ecu that controls it... I'm not one to sell a dodgy car but I can't afford to spend around £250-300 to get it replaced :'( As a result i've lowered the price to £3200.
  4. Hey all, after 3 years it's time to sell up! I'm going to miss this little rocket ship! My car has many modifications, a full service history including a service today, a fresh MOT on 13-09-14 with no advisories. Mileage is currently around 133k, I have done 15k in the past 3 years, it was sorn for the majority of 2013 and did about 800 miles between MOT's. The car was treated to a full respray by the previous owner around 4 years ago in it's original colour, black magic. The car has the odd stone chip but is very clean and dent free. I have a folder full of history and receipts including years of old tax discs. Factory options include: Adaptive xenons Cruise control Mods include: Poly-bushed chassis Front and rear anti-roll bars Ibiza Cupra strut brace 312mm brake upgrade Coilover suspension Performance panel filter PD160 intake Custom red boost pipes throughout EGR deleted Forge FMIC Hybrid Turbo-Technics turbo Turbo back stainless exhaust with cat delete and oval tailpipe Revo stage 2 remap ~200bhp I soundproofed the entire car when I bought it which has made the cabin a bit quieter (i'm not sure it was worth losing a weekend though!) The front grill has been colour-coded Aero wipers have been fitted LED indicators have been fitted The car is wired ready for an audio install in the boot if that's your thing. All four original 16" alloy wheels were refurbished earlier this year and I fitted new Pirelli P Zero tires at the same time. The only negative things to note is the usual drivers seat rocking, I only have one working key, I have a second key that unlocks and starts the car but it needs coding to prevent the immobiliser cutting in. I'm sure there is more that i've forgotten about but i'll update this advert if I remember! If you have any questions, please ask. The car can be viewed in Guildford, Surrey GU4.
  5. That's a nice lens, I recently sold a Tokina 28-70 f/2.8 only to replace it with the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8. The Tokina's produce some sharp images and generally get good reviews. I'd rate them over Sigma kit. I bought a Tamron 10-24 about 3 years ago and it's perfectly adequate for the few times i've used it, as said above, it's not a heavily used lens, it just sits on the shelf at home.
  6. My average over the past 6000 miles has been 44mpg, not bad considering the number of engine modifications i've got!! I can drive it hard and still average 40mpg all day long
  7. hiya, I'd really really really really like the drivers seat base. Purely the subframe, not interested in the seat covering if somebody else wanted it. Thanks Greg
  8. Can you not get some spacers to clear the calipers?
  9. go on then!! I wont need mine painted (i'll get it powdercoated vRS green! 1) saint1d 2) jlneonhug - PAID - painted 3) Jake vRS -PAID - painted 4) littlejohnny -as discussed! 5) Si Vxr - PAID - painted 6) thealienfromuranus - PAID - bare 7) G6314 - PAID - painted 8) GRE608Y
  10. Hey Scratchy, I had exactly the same issue, I'd split that boost pipe in my car. I too contacted SFS a couple of months ago and Lee made a custom pipe for me. I can confirm it has made a massive difference but was a sod to fit as the metal end of the pipe needed some work to connect to the pancake pipe. I believe the retail on these pipes will be £50-70.
  11. congrats mate!! I'm hoping to join your club soon, just need to find a local rolling road!
  12. Thanks for the comments guys  A little update on the car.. In the past couple of weekends I've upgraded a few lightbulbs, I now have LED indicators, numberplate lights, front sidelights, interior lights and 6k D2S xenon bulbs. I've swapped the brake disks around so they now face the correct way, I've bought some replacement trim parts to replace scratched interior panels, and also replaced the drivers side grill in the front bumper as the original one had been cut out. This weekend I had the front grill repainted in Black Magic as it had been sprayed rattlecan black previously. I've had the wheel alignment done twice by two different places in the past month but they can't seem to correct the camber on the nearside. I've got a terrible feeling that something's bent Greg
  13. what an amazing picture! As soon as I saw the title of this thread I immediately thought of the film, "The Other Guys"!

  15. I think the pipe will retail at £60-70, it's a fantastic bit of kit Much larger diameter than the original pipework
  16. It's funny you should say that!! I thought the same?! I've gotta say, the braking isn't as good as I'd expected, perhaps this is why!! Thanks for the comments though guys Greg
  17. Hi all, I'm a newbie to this forum, I joined a couple of months ago whilst looking for a Fabia vRS. Well I found one! I bought it from a forum member but through eBay. It's a Black Magic '05 plate with high miles but it's in a lovely condition (and I intend to keep it that way!) When looking for my car, it had to have xenons and cruise control, well I hit the jackpot with this one as it had both and a lot lot more... xenons cruise control FK AK coilovers Turbo back exhaust EGR delete Forge fmic PD160 intake Panel filter Revo stage 2 remap 17" Black BBS RK's 312mm brake upgrade LCR splitter Black grill Short shifter mod Rear ARB Poly bush/console bush upgrade I think that was all... phew! The previous owner said it was close to 190bhp when mapped, I'm yet to have it on the rollers so can't confirm that yet! Well since owning it, the modding has continued further! There have been quite a few things that have needed changing, first off I had to replace 3 bald tyres so I went up a profile to give a bit more ride comfort, one of the wheels wes buckled so I decided to have all four refurbished and chose an OEM Audi silver for the centres, I've fitted carbon vRS badges to the centre caps. The rear coilovers had failed massively so I had to change them, I've fitted a set of quality AP's and raised it up a little, aa great improvement over handling, I can now brake without the car trying to buckaroo me! After two weeks of ownership, the turbo failed spectacularly! So after some research I went with Turbo Technics and bought a new turbo and had it hybridised, they claim it's good for 200+ bhp. I've stripped the whole car and sound deadened everything I could, double insulation on the flooring throughout, the boot, spare wheel well, all door cards, it's made a great improvement This morning I took the car back to the garage to have the final uprated boost pipe fitted, I had SFS make a custom pipe that exits the turbo and connects to the metal pancake pipe. The drive home was awesome! It's got so much power now and NO more boost leaks! I'm not sure when the original pipe split but this one has made such a difference. Next on the agenda is the drivers seat, the seat rocks forward and back, under closer inspection I've found the washer that sits in the pivot point (where the seat adjusts up and down) has worn out, a new subframe is going to cost me over £200!! So I guess the only other option is to set the seat at a suitable height and weld it in place... :S Well that's enough talking, here's a few pics The day I collected it Wheels after their refurb And as it stands now Cheers Greg

  19. whilst we're on the subject of wing mirrors, I followed a Corsa this morning who's owner had an ingenious idea...  yes.. that's a cd!! lol
  20. Yes should do. I looked at buying an ARL turbo when I got my turbo hybridised. same outlets mate.
  21. Hi Jase, Yea that's right, it comes straight off the turbo, and yea, the metal fitting is removeable. IIRC it's 44mm to 52mm in diameter. SFS can supply the metal connection for the other end, I just need to double check all the measurements. Greg Hi Trevor, From what Lee was saying, the turbo from an ARL pd150 has the same outlet, but this pipe won't suit a Golf due to a different pancake pipe. This pipe is specifically for the Skoda Fabia vRS, the Polo GT pd130 and the Seat Ibiza pd130's. Perhaps it would be a good idea to start a list of names of anyone interested in a GB?
  22. Hi guys, I've recently split a boost pipe since fitting my new hybrid turbo to my Fabia vRS pd130. All the pipes are uprated silicone as I have a front mount intercooler. The only pipe that's OEM is the one i've split! It's the 90deg pipe that leaves the turbo and connects to the pancake pipe. I've rung just about every performance hose company I can think of and no one has been able to provide me with this pipe. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone to Lee @ SFS the other day and he's agreed to produce a custom pipe for me. I was wondering if anyone else has replaced this pipe yet? He said to me that if there were enough of us interested he'd give us all a discount on a group buy. It's worthwhile having if you're running a hybrid turbo or big power. This pipe is only available from VW/Skoda/TPS and costs £100+vat. ouch! The SFS price would be around £60 delivered. The pipe in question is pictured below, you can see the split clearly.
