  1. The longer it goes and you continue to drive it I suspect there will be a chance that they will turn around and say that an outside influence has caused the problem. I would return it immediately to the dealer-demand a courtesy car in the interim and insist on a NEW car. Not debatable.
  2. Excellent Customer Service with Furrows, after taking my Octavia to them, following appalling Customer Service and shoddy workmanship at a South Wales dealer/body repair shop!!
  3. I've had NO issues with Simeon at all at Sinclair. They have lost a customer (a friend of mine) who is buying an Octavia, after telling him of my experience dealing with them and he has gone elsewhere to buy!. I told Customer Services that I would!!
  4. Glad this post was/is of help. Nothing found n the front edge with mine. Check your Service schedule booklets as well. There are pages within the booklet 'check corrosion protection of the body' this was not completed last yr when in for service. Rust does not appear overnight! The second warranty claim has now gone in and am awaiting response.
  5. I am in the process of sorting out the warranty work, but Customer services are being a rite pain. I refuse to take it back to the garage where I bought the car from to do the work, although it has been authorised by them, due to their previous shoddy work on a bumper, and lack of dialogue and lies. Customer services say that I should, Quote; 'bite the bullet' and take it there to get the work done, or otherwise go to another garage, for them to examine the rust and put in another warranty claim..... which has already been authorised by the initial garage!!
  6. No this is where the body work has not been correctly treated, nothing to do with the wipers.
  7. Recently found this on my Octavia Est 2012 .....on the underside of the bonnet near to the windscreen Check your Octavia's!!

Having bought my car from new, customer service has been nothing short of disgusting!! ......with the salesman completely ignoring me on return visits, when taking the car for servicing (no longer take it there), and wandering around the showroom. The body-shop (manager I presume) not replying to or acknowledging emails sent, and not being particularly interested with the problem when my vehicle was taken down for examination re a warranty issue. Work that has been carried out by the body shop to a bumper, following a rear end shunt, was so shoddy that the paint came off in strips, as they had not prepared the bumper to accept the paint!! Needles to say I now have NOTHING to do with this particular garage and have gone elsewhere for service work, where every member of staff that I came across, can only be applauded for their Customer Service.
  9. I have recently had a similar problem and the diagnostic check showed the following ; 17965 - P1557 Charge Pressure Control - Intermittent DeviationCan any body shed some light on this please?
  10. Thanx for that info I have just had the oil + oil filter changed, last week. What are the prices for the other mentioned parts and do you suggest that the main dealer changes the cambelt + water pump or a mechanic who knows what he is doing?
  11. I had the timing belt replaced on my 2002 Octavia 110 tdi in 2007 at 40k mile service. It is now coming up to 80k Should i get it changed again, as i have not had any correspondence from the dealers. What else should i get done,it is serviced - oil and filter change, every year.
  12. I have had my Octavia Est 110 since 2002 and am interested in chipping it. It has done just under 80K. Has anybody got experience of chipping this model and what are the pros and cons - if any - in doing so. Which system would you recommend.
  13. I have a 2002 Octavia 110 est and was informed quite a while ago by main dealer that the air con pump has packed up. I didnt use much of the air con anyway Does any one know what price for a new pump and is it best to get the main dealer to fit it for warranty purpose? Or as i did not use much of the air con in any case, is there any pont in spending my pennies?
