I ran 225/45/17 tyres for ages. No problems whatsoever and the fuel consumption was no different. But just because they're 225 means nothing. You need to know the width, the size, the offset and also the other tyre stats before you could make the guess they will fit.

So, what would tempt you away from Skoda.........

This did for me. GTI Edition 30 in the best colour! Utterly fantastic in every way. -
Lightly modified Octavia vRS 1.8T power run

How do mate! If the manifold gasket has gone a good a chance as any to get all the exhaust swapped! That mani back from the port and polish yet? In my ownership it never had to have any hoses changed, so it may have got to that point in it's life. That dyno plot looks fairly consistent though...maybe it is the fueling just not being turned up enough! If I can help at all Mankee give me a shout. -
Black, Silver with unpainted bumper trims looks pants.

If you go to Skoda with the registration, chassis number and everything they will know if it was one! It would be linked to the chassis number. Like with Golf GTI Edition 30s, and other special editions. VW can confirm it depending on the chassis number. Give it a go!

Lovely car that! I was extremely close to ordering basically the same car but in the Charcoal grey colour. Test drove 3 different varieties! Jealous! But didn't want to get some of the first ones out so bought an Edition 30 in the end. Any plans for the car or just keeping it standard?
-
Hell yes Venoms! Haha. I would just for the sake of it.

Take a look at my mk1 for sale mate. Link is in my signature. Great cars and can fit tons in! Having said that though I have moved from mine to Golf GTI Edition 30 as I've always been a Golf man. It's the sameish chassis as the mk2 Octy and I'd say it is indeed better. But mine is a top spec Edition 30 DSG so I'd be very peeved if it wasnt! For the price and practicality wise you can't beat the mk1 VRS Octavia.

2004 Octavia VRS - Black Magic & Loads of great mods

Sorry mate! Have been working solid. It's around the 220bhp mark. It shifts well and the torque is in the right places. But like I say it's nearly stage 2 ready so 250bhp isn't far off with the bits I mention. -
If it's a mk1 Octavia, no. Mk2 is similar but then it depends on what strut size the kit has. As there are 50 or 55mm front struts for mk5 Golf platform cars. So you'll need to do more research!

Mine are an earlier set and have a lapbelt instead. But hasn't ever bothered me!

I've got a full set of Mk4 leather Recaros in mine. Same as Robs but I've got the rear seats in too. :p bloody nice!
