Replaced by dealer under warranty, said it was first Fabia seat they have had to do.
-
The padding in the side bolster of the seat base next to the drivers door seems to have folded/split so you can feel the metal frame. There is no damage to the seat fabric. The car will be 3 years old at the end of November and has only done 21,000 miles, me being the only driver. Has anyone else experienced this? Will skoda warranty cover a replacement?

Anyone elses vRS front bumper like this?
dickow replied to dickow's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Thanks for replies, bodyshop have said its a brace to support lower part of bumper whilst its being sprayed, they forgot to take it off. Apparently I should be able to push it out using a screwdriver through grill. Just glad to have car back, hire car was a 63 plate Golf 1.4 122bhp dsg - quiet, comfortable, dull/boring, made me realise how much I love the vRS. -
Just had a new front bumper as someone (in a van with a tow bar) reversed into me at a set of traffic lights. The red plastic strip behind the lower honeycomb grill was definitely not on the car before, not sure why it is now, it looks stupid, any ideas??? Its a 61 plate. Im onto the repair centre who are going to ring me tomorrow.

Had it just over 2 years and not had one problem. Recently looked what I will replace it with when lease runs out in Nov 14 - nothing comes close for the same £/5 door/ performance. I remember being bored of my previous cars (BM320d, golf GTD) after 2 years, this is not the case with the Fabia, I'll be sad to see it go. Drivers of other cars (usually Mercs and Audis) still seem to get peed off when a Skoda outpaces them, seeing them seething in the rear view mirror is definitely the best part of ownership.

Large screw in middle of rear offside after having car only 4 weeks....gutted. I too could hardly tell it was flat. Tyre pressure monitor did not detect it for some reason. I drove to petrol station to put air in and had to use 'flat tyre' setting on machine as there must not have been any air left in tyre at all. Thank god for repairs, only cost £15.

FIRST RED VRS WITH BLACK PACK. I WIN !
dickow replied to dickyd's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Sweet, first fully red vRS I've seen, been dying to see one as that's what I've ordered but I went with standard wheels, only 4 more months to wait! Agree with what u said about black wheels, they do look smaller. Not keen on black roof either. Black pack is a big improvement -
build time theory (stab in the dark)
dickow replied to the mad monk's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
ive gone down the personal leasing route, red vRS no extras. Got a very good deal with tyres and maintenance included - could be why ive got to wait 10 MONTHS! ordered 10th Feb, build week 45 pencilled in so should have it early December. -
Red vRS, totally standard,no extras. Ordered 10th Feb at which time I was told it would be ready in approx 10weeks (week 16 - w/c 18th April). I then had a call to say it had been put back to build week 19. I have just called to check that the car has been built and received the following disappointing reply: 'The car is one of a number of vehicles which have had their production week put back (ALL May production Fabia vRS) to post-week 22 (commencing 30 May). This is due to enhancements being made to the range (Skoda call it build year 12). The vRS is now getting the ''Black Look Pack' which comes with the Monte Carlo model. Obviously, there are no further charges'. I think I might as well ask them to put winter tyres straight on it at this rate, on second thoughts, maybe receiving it to drive this winter is a bit optimistic at this point! :(

How annoying is that, some w****r did the same to my wifes car a few years ago. It's probably bought the smackhead that did it about 20 quids worth of heroin and cost you far more to replace not to mention the hassle and cleaning bits of glass out of your car for the next few months.

Is anyone taking part in the Straightliners car Grudgement Day on April 17th at Elvington?

Official Briskoda Fabia II vRS Register
dickow replied to ChrisRs's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
A register for elegance models would be plain DULL, in my opinion that is -
Hi Im new to this site so thought id introduce myself, I ordered a Fabia vRS in early Feb with a delivery date of mid April and cant wait to get it. Unfortunately ive just broken both the bones in my left forearm at work and had to have them pinned, so hoping it heals before I get the car. The 10 week delivery time has been bad enough to wait for but having the car on the drive and not being able to drive it would be a killer. Fingers crossed (not with my left hand though as they are numb at the mo.

FOX1429, it could have been writing that post except im coming from a 1.2 Clio. Always loved cars but never had anything quick, I too am 30+, mortgage, family and figured its about time I got summat I wanted. Ordered my Fabia VRS on 14th feb, a month after you, and its due w/c 18th April....cannot wait. Reading this forum is the closest im getting to driving it for another 8 weeks so keep posting people, even though wife is already thinking its abit strange how much time im spending on this forum
