Superb Combi 1.8 TSI (2010) brokedown on 2 Jan. The engine check light was illuminated and the gear position indicator flashing. Could start the car but could not move. The gear indicator did shift but apparently still in neutral. Had the car towed to Agent and was repaired within the day. The cause was faulty Mechatronics in the DSG Gearbox. After the change, the gearbox was slight better than previous, it does not judder as much only around 1700~1900rpm on 2nd gear.

Well with what you have, an estate would be a wise choice. As for 1.8TSI, it really depends on your usage. Having had a MPV (Mit. Grandis) before my present 1.8TSI Superb Combi serves its purpose better than the MPV. Mainly due to the fact that 65% of the time is only me driving alone, 30% with full family (me, wifey and 2 young kids) and 5% with 3 passenger with 4 Golf bags.

LED are bright but they do not 'throw' that light as far as the filament bulds. I had faced the same problem with low light while reversing. Solved this problem by installing a Reverse camera with small monitor on the dashboard. (will take pictures later to show). After installing the camera, it really helped a great deal not only parking at night but also for parking in tight spaces.

Hi Fightingdad.....yes, me from Singapore....have sent my car to Harvest at Ubi and they have done the repair...the hose was pinched....all is much better now, but still slight leaking at the left side...plan to go back there again

Thanks All for the advise. Just gotten back the car from the Agent's workshop and as "ecejmpe" has mentioned, the cause of the leak is due to 'collapsed' or crushed drain hose from the Moon Roof. According to the Service guy, this problem occurs during assembly of the roof lining. There is a metal holder which could crush the drain hose when the 'robot' install the roofing on the car. They have since repaired the hose and hopefully no more leaking.

I'm interested too, but how to get mine? I'm from Singapore...air parcel post will be costly..

Driving a Superb Combi 1.8TSI and recently notice that there is water leaking into the car near the accelerator and bonnet level whenever there is a heavy rain. Anybody have the same problem or remedy or cause of the leak?

Yahooo......finally took delivery of my Superb Combi. Have not really fiddle much with the car yet - but my kids really enjoy the Sun roof. Have only paired my mobile phone. I was told that the side mirror (left) will tilt when you put into reverse. I tried a few times but it just move a little then back to original position even before I move the vehicle. Anyone have a solution or explanation? Thanks

Should be getting my Superb Combi Next week. Have any one had problems with the Tyre size of 215/40-R18 on the Superb Combi? Seems little low profile for an estate. With the lower profile, how is the comfort and my worry of the tyre coming out during sharp cornering.
