I have just finished taking apart the rear wiper assembly on my 2002 octy vrs as it has seized solid. I have looked at the topics already on the forum and have come to the conclusion that it needs replaceing. Has any one got a second hand one they are willing to sell or does anyone know of a cheap parts online site many thanks for the help or advice in advance Carl

Hi No cctv covering the car park. I have calmed down slightly now, still cannot believe the way she accosted me in the car park. I am sure that i didn't hit anyone in the car park. Think that i will give that car park a wide berth for a while as it is always full and no doubt plenty of bumps do happen in there. I noticed on another thread that other people park in the quietest parts of the car park furthest away from shops etc, I have always done this to avoid other cars and will continue to do this. Thanks again for words of wisdom from everyone

Thanks for the thoughts so far , they are what i have gone through in my mind so far. We will see what happens next. The car park in Question is a school car park, and it is chaos in there some nights.

I think I know the answer to this but am looking for others opinions. Last night I was picking my daughter up from an after school activity when a women came up to me and accused me of hitting her car two weeks earlier in the same car park. I can say with all honesty that i didn't hit anything in the car park. Now I drive a rally red Octavia vrs mk1 with a WRC spoiler and lovely 18 inch wheels so its a bit more distinctive than a astra/focus so it makes me think shes just got it in for the boy racer car. I have kept the car spotless for the last 8 years and apart from the usual stone chips, kerbed wheels, odd ding from doors which have been opened onto my car it looks pretty good. I have checked and there is no damage at all on the car and showed the women that there and then in the car park. (It was dark but well light) I have checked again this morning and cannot see anywhere i could have hit another car. She asked me what I was going to do about it, I told her that i didn't know what she was talking about and denied hitting anything in the car park including her car and drove off. Do you think I should have done anything else??

I now have no tints on my front windows so its legal and no you don't get points just a

I know this has been discussed many times , but I thought it was worth saying. I had all my side windows tinted in what i thought was a legal tint but on Saturday I was stopped by a motorbike police unit. He had with him a piece of kit called tintman. They test your windows by sticking two sensors one either side of the glass and measure the light let through. The results are 0- 40 Fixed penelty notice

I was really looking forward to the launch of the Mk II vRS Octavia but i'm sorry to say that at the rumored cost and the poor standard spec I am moving towards altenatives. Insurance is expensive on the Octy vRS, running costs will proberly not be cheap either. This will not be a good car for every day use. I'm thinking of selling my Mk 1 vRS, buying a duel fuel run around for everyday and a Westfield for fun at the weekends. Any way I agree with most of the posts so far not impressed if we believe most of the rumors!

I've had my Octavia vRS for three years now on a 52 plate and just coming up to 60K. What with the price of petrol i was wondering if an LPG conversion was worth considering. As you can see i cover about 20k a year mainly for work, mainly motorway miles. Any body converted there Octy? If so how much did it cost? I know there is a slight reduction in performance but not massive anybody got any comments? How much room do you loose in your boot? Any advice would be appreciated Thanks Carl

Exactly the same thing happened to me 52 plate octyvRS 40000 miles on the clock, just happened forthe first time when it was -1. saw the thread last week took it to the dealer and it was the sensor, . I mentioned that i thought this was a commen problem but he wouldn't admit it was, seems like it is to me are you giys all around the 40000 mark 2 years old??? Carlos :thumbdwn:

I've just installed broadband on my computer. Using Tiscali no problems so far except the phone extention to my bedroom was not good enough so had to have a new extention fitted, got it all working including new e mail account but i use windows XP and like most people my wife also uses the computer and in the good old days she had her own internet account using dial up. Is it possible to have multi user access to the broadband connection. Also i have set up two e mail address's one in my name one in hers, no problems setting up mine how do i then set up seperate account?? Anybody had the same problems its a bugger to sort out if you don't know how to?? Carlos
