  1. Hello, I have a fabia VRS gearbox with a gearbox code of FJW which is the longer gear ratio for sale, it came out of a 70k 53 plate. I believe it has a damaged selector folk which operates 1st and 2nd gear. While turning the input shaft in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th the output shaft turns i.e. driveshaft but when 1st and 2nd are selected input turns but no output plus you can hear in the gearbox that nouthing has been selected. Therefore if you are handy with repairing these. this gearbox could be a cheap buy for yourself. Offers Cash on collection Any questions call me on 07837307648 Wisbech Cambridgeshire for collection Thanks
  2. Hello, Please find my Vrs for sale at, http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201145428198835/sort/priceasc/usedcars/postcode/pe134na/radius/1/page/1/quicksearch/true?logcode=p Thanks
  3. How do we test to ensure the cables are still inline and not preventing it from going into gear.
  4. I changed my sprag clutch and all has been solved... Although i have a massive gearbox issue now never stops...
  5. I have attached a picture of the gearbox internals which part would you believe it is. is it 6 or 12 thanks Book11.pdf
  6. Can i undo the top to bolts on the selector and see if there are any problems. Are there any other bolts that need removing. Thanks alot Carless at the moment which ant good.
  7. Good Afternoon, Tonight i pulled away from a junction in a hurry to avoid a car and snatched second to get a move on. When second was selected it just reved the engine. I have lost first and second gears, when selecting them the cables seem to move to the correct positions but has a negative feel on the gear lever itself as in when selecting gears i can here a selection taking place on 3rd to 6th but cant here any selection taken place in 1st and 2nd. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th and reverse work fine so i know its not the cluth. The cables seem to be fine. I have not had any issues with these gears in the past. therefore i think the quick start has damaged something. Are there any common or known problems that can occur with a quick pull away. I also never hurd any bangs or knocks just wouldnt drive in first or second. Thanks alot regards
  8. Replaced mine today, i tryed turning the fan blade within the alternator and it was fine but still changed it and now i have no more clicking but ill confirm once the engine is cold as thats when it seems to click more Thanks for your help.

  12. Whats this MOD and is it worth doing. Im mainly thinking if the oil is ok and nothing is going to go wrong ill leave it.
  13. Nice Job Mate, I have only managed to snap fingers off never the complete center ring.... Well done lol
  14. Good Afternoon, I have been given my fabia a once over today and i noticed that the Top intercooler pipe and Valve? "not sure what it is" looks like an turbo acuator or EGR valve has large amounts of oil around that area. The oil is also inside the intercooler pipe work. When i had a good look under the car i noticed oil had been dripping on the drivers side driveshaft and the bottom intercooler pipe were it joins and can be seen with the engine cover inplace has oil around that to. Any ideas, is this normal or should i worry and start replacing components. The car has done 102k Thanks Peeps
