  1. Yes that’s what I’m thinking Greezy. I think I’d best book a test drive.
  2. No not yet, I did ask for a rough idea of a PCP quote and the dealer didn’t get back to me.
  3. I’ve tried to use Drive the Drak prices before during negotiations and they’ve never been close. The carwow discounts on skodas are quite respectable. In regards to space it’s not a huge issue but I did test drive a Mini Cooper S at the weekend and that really was as mini as the name suggests.
  4. Hi all Ex Fabia Vrs owner here. I’m currently driving an 18 month old Fiesta ST and due to having quite a bit of equity in the car and fancying a change I’ve been looking at a Golf GTI. The only issue is huge wait times, some dealers have been quoting 54 weeks. Do you guys recommend the VRS? Obviously you own them but is it a positive experience? Through carwow you seem to be able to get roughly 5K off a petrol DSG model which seems quite tempting.
  5. I usually use simpsons in colne too but I had mine looked at by 2 different independents and both thought it was the module. That coupled with a clutch that was about to give up pushed me towards selling it.
  6. No, in mine it esp/abs warning in the centre screen. Turned out to be abs module.
  7. I’ve driven it home tonight (10 miles) and all warning lights are still on and abs is not working.
  8. So is it worth a call to an auto electrician? East lancs area. Accrington/blackburn/Burnley area

  10. They haven’t charged me for the abs sensor. They just swapped it out and tried the new one.
  11. Hi So this morning I went to start my 11 plate vrs and the abs warning light/run flat/traction warning lights came on and stayed on. Thinking this could just be a random blip being an older car I decided to turn off and start the car again. When I tried to restart the car there was no life from the ignition at all. I tried a few times. I then left it for 5 mins and went back at it started first time but the warning lights were still there. I took it to my local garage where they have replaced my old battery. They also tried to swap out the abs sensor but the sensor was fine and the problem was still there when the new one was fitted. The alternator was also checked and that was working fine as well. Does anybody have an idea what it could be. The garage suggested an auto electrician. If anybody could offer some advice that would be great. Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi So I was travelling along a dual carriageway today doing roughly 45-50 mph roughly and the car ( 2011 vrs) was in 6th gear, I put my foot down slightly to overtake and the car juddered slightly and the “control system for exhaust” light started to flash yellow for roughly 5 seconds and then went off. Has anybody got any ideas. Btw the car has only done 45k and had the spark plugs changed about 18months a go. Thanks in advance.
  13. I've just found a nail in the front tyre. They are due to be changed so I guess it's a trip to ats and see how it is after the new tyres are fitted.
  14. Excuse the ignorance but what am I looking for with a damaged tyre wall?
