Thanks for the update. Mine is in having a new Thermostat as the engine has never got to half way so that could be related, also its going to have new Coil Packs and Spark Plugs, Interestingly you say yours is worse with the cold weather mine appears to be the same.

Did this ever get fixed? - Mine is doing the same thing its rough on a cold start. The car under load around 2k revs the car has a hesitation or stutter and then picks up the power. Maf has been changed also, this has really only been an issue since the RAM air induction kit fitting.

That was my thinking its something to do with the Haldex pump.

The Yeti is a 4x4 CR170 2014 (FL) it appears this wurring noise started a few days ago the Haldex has been cleaned and had new oil every 20k, and serviced every year to the correct schedule its done 72k It comes and goes annoyingly it only happens when the clutch is dipped as well. I was thinking its something like the Haldex pump maybe? Any ideas would be appreciated video-1543494732.mp4

I have it now, I bought it today. The car is ok little bits to tidy up and it will look lovely. It drives brilliantly the engine pulls well.

I am glad you stuck with the project with all the other stuff you have going on you could be forgiven if you decided to stop it. Its always great to create something that will always make people talk about the "mad" idea, well its not really mad just someone with a bit of vision and repeats to himself "What if I...." As you say a GTR passing a Ferrari isn't unexpected, a Yeti however that steals headlines and gets people talking in good way. Keep up the good work, we are all reading with interest.

My Yeti has done 48k miles now and its been running the Bluefin for 45 of those and it hasn't missed a beat. Stick to the main brands if a "mate" can do it for you for silly money then leave it. It's worth what they charge for it and they all typically give the 170 a power grade to 205/210 so it's a win win...

YES! I have had many many new cars and this is the only one I have wanted to keep longer than 2 years. I am upto 3.5 years and looking to buy it at the end of the lease.

Last night Progress Skoda in Northampton had the white LHD model on show VIP event on, my first impressions of it are wow it does look good. The car must be the same one others have seen in different dealers apparently the spec was for Finland and that is close to the UK SE-L spec. I was a little disappointed with the the size of it, I was thinking it would be bigger nearly X5 size but it's not, the seats in the boot are virtually useless unless you have no legs but honestly that's about it. The car has the WOW factor and a real step up the class of the cabin I really liked the "superb" feel of the car, its pretty much what I expected, many other people at the event commented the same. The seats feel nice to sit in, However I would have liked the option to remove the rears like in my Yeti, I did notice the boot level is still quite high, and not as big as I expected but little touches around the whole car make it feel premium rather than cheap and cheerful. On the car I was looking at the 19's IMO they still look really quite small on the car, now I am not after 22' monsters but reminds me of the Yeti that has tiny wheels really for the size of the car. All in all it's going to sell and really well, the dealer took 2 orders while I was there and they have 4 already ordered at full price (35k) for me .... I am going to wait for the new Yeti my dealer said the styling suits the Yeti more as they have already seen it so I am happy to wait.... Oh and they said they are doing a VRS version as well, Not sure of the engine I guess it will be the 280ps out of the superb, What a beast that will be....

Dare I say it, but if I was in the market looking for a used CR170 Yeti then I would pay more for one that hasn't had the fix applied than one that had it applied.

We just had the letter to say the fix for the 170 is now ready and to book the car in to my local dealer. Its nearly 3 years old and pretty much been good as gold so the letter has just been introduced to mr shredder ;) If it isn't broken it don't need fixing... No way am I letting them touch the car.

you might want to consider the new Yeti will be out end of next year (IIRC) so good discounts should be on offer. If it was me I would buy a used one and use the extra money for the new one when it arrives. Regardless they are brilliant cars, love mine to bits.
