  2. Oops sorry, yes I did mean tyre wear, not fuel consumption. Sorry for any confusion. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?0vctyz
  3. Read the original post. The stain is on the roof lining! Which is basically cardboard! Use a Vax on it at your peril! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?0n4yui
  4. For heavens sake don't get it wet or even over dampened, you'll end up with serious water marks. Use a dry foam spray wash and a dry dish cleaning scourer, but use the sponge side only. Gently, and I mean gently coax as much of the stain out as you can, but I'm afraid it'll never come back perfect. If its still particularly stained after that, your only course of action is to use tooth paste, very liberally, using a sponge. But don't over do it. Take your time though, hare and the tortoise and all that .... --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?kzfhhx
  5. Or write any other book of fiction, oh and out some better monsters in it this time, I mean, David and Goliath, Samson and Delilah, come on, boring after 2000 years. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?wc2azz
  6. Almost deffo over inflation. Some tyres take over inflation better than others. Try to stay within 10% psi for the make/model of car. Bear in mind that one garages pressure gauge may be up to 5 psi reading different to its neighbours. Buy yourself a good gauge and don't rely on garage gauges. Some people love the feel over overinflated tyres, but wonder why their car "steps out" on bumpy corners, suffer from poor mileage, break springs etc etc --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?fquesk
  7. Does sound like you've a control panel problem to me. It's deffo not the same problem my superb experienced. Although its strange the "computer" thingy didn't pick up the problem. Sounds as though it's an intermittent prob. I had to drive my car for 1/2 hour to make sure my prob manifested itself, then not switch anything off till the linked it up, to check. But if your dial isn't altering the temp as you turn it, fair bet it's the control panel that's causing the problem. As far as the chaffed wire, mine experienced, I couldn't tell you exactly where it was or which specific wire. All I know, is it runs from behind the control panel, down to a footwell sensor somewhere, but it's not a common fault, so prob specific to my car. Could've been created by the engineer who installed my taxi meter, or radio. Prob was actually. I'd get the control panel changed, deffo a good bet. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?k3aosk
  8. Just had my 30k 60 plate wheels aligned under warranty. Apparently all 4 wheels were way out, seriously way out, from the manufacturer. Tyres were suffering from ridiculously uneven wear. Feathering, cupping scrubbing, you name it, it had it! Drove home today and immediately noticed a difference in lightness of steering, handling, and especially road noise. Anyone with poor tyre wear, I seriously recommend getting 4 wheel laser tracked.
  9. Fixed under warranty today. Apparently it was a chafed wire that was to blame! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5dm2nn
  10. Just had 30k service, and was informed rear brakes were 90% worn and needed replacing. I too have heard a slight squeak from them periodically. Having never changed the fronts from new, would this be a sign of rear brake binding, or is this the norm? Never had to change rears b4 front on any previous car! If so, are these spring you speak of an easy home DIY job? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?gqwbbs
  11. Ok, when car temp got up to normal this morning, the heat/cold swapped sides. Cold drivers side, hot passenger side. Did the usual and turned everything off, thing got back to normal for a while, 3 - 4 mins or so, and then got hot drivers side! I give up! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?vj00wz
  12. Weird one this. Had car for 15 months, covered 30k, just serviced. Informed dealer of problem, but either not fixed or not looked at. Heat drivers side gradually gets hotter and hotter till unbearable. Even when turned down to "blue" setting, when booster fan kicks in. Passenger side seems to be working correctly. Doesn't matter whether set on auto, dual, or manual. Switch off completely, wait a min or so, and switch back on, all ok for a while. Then drivers gets hotter and hotter, and here we go again. It's under warranty, but was wondering if there's a quick fix, or is it dealer, "I insist you fix this" jobby! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?evoxmg
  13. As previously stated, toothpaste. Especially any whitening brand. Seriously, we're not making it up! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?gfoknp
  14. Mine set at 60 bass, 70 mid and 80 treble. But then, I like to hear "crisp" sounding music generally. However, I've found most bassless probs can be overcome by changing the "tone" when using my mp3 player, iPhone etc via aux input. Doesn't help radio though I'm afraid. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ua1l4a
  15. Don't use wd40, it dries after a while and leaves a covering of protective film to stop corrosion. Use a grease spray instead, the type motorcyclists use on their bike chains. Had prob on previous Octy. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?ymrypm
