  1. Latest update - they changed the coilpacks due to periodic misfiring. Very generous I'm sure. Misfiring has cost me approx £400 to date in failed attempts to diagnose and now I find its Knackered my CAT which Skoda refuse to pay for! Another £600 down the tubes cos VW can't get the electrics right - load of crooks!!!!!!
  2. Does any one know why Skoda have put a recall for the coil pack on some Octavia vRS's mk 1 circa 2004?
  3. Hi Mike, thanks for that - garage have done scan but all they say it's telling them is car is missfiring - well I already know that!
  4. Hi, I'm new to this site but found it cos I need help with my Mk1 Octavia Vrs. The car has run sweetly for 6 years but has started miss firing on long journeys. Fault normally occurs after about 100 miles when engine starts missing on one, two or three cylinders. If the engine is shut down for say half an hour fault still persists but if it is shut down for some hours the fault disapears. If I put my foot down when fault is in progress it makes things worse but if I apply a very slow increase in acceleration the fault level appears to reduce ( ie. it feels like its firing on three rather than two ) Can anybody suggest whats causing this? ( injectors, coil pack, EMS???? )
