I was having problems with my Columbus not being able to read SD cards. I tried numerous cards and all came up with a read failure. Anyone else had this problem? Software related or Hardware failure? As it happens I think my HHD has now crapped out, so looking to replace that if I can and reload. Just curious! Dan, Bedford

Well, same has just happened to me. Exactly the same symptoms as previously stated... Logo shows for 15 seconds, then goes of and system seems to try and reboot. I'll call the dealers as I have a good relationship with them, but if as I suspect it's the HDD then I am going to have a good look and see if I can replace it. If the unit is potentially knackered anyway then I guess it's worth a go... Dan, Bedford

I have also been looking at a 3C8 035 730 D Unit on Ebay... Mine is currently a 3C8 035 730 Anyone had success in getting this installed and working with an iPhone 5? If not, does the 3C8 035 730A...B...C work with an iPhone 5? I have a 58 plate Superb II Elegance. Cheers! Dan

Hello all, Not being very up on the technical bits regarding Bluetooth, but I have recently bought a 58 plate Skod Superb Elegance and there is a Bluetooth Module under the driver's seat. The module model no. is 3C8035730. As this is one of the earlier units, I am unable to get it to connect to my iPhone 5c or works iPhone 4. The Superb uses Columbus with Satnav and a mono colour Maxidot display behind the steering wheel. I would like to update this unit to one that will be compatible with my phone. Please can someone advise on which model no. I should be looking for? Hello, I am in the process of installing an IO Play2 Bluetooth Handsfree kit to my Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI (PD). I need to get access to a switched supply for this appliance but can't seem to find one in the vicinity of the stereo. Anyone know where would be best to take this supply from? It has to be switched. Did anyone manage to get an interface to allow you to use the Alpine CDE-103BT with the Steering Wheel controls? I have a 1.9 Tdi Superb and am looking to transfer my Apline over to the new car. Cheers! Dan

Anyone tried a 1.9 Tdi Superb Elegance on a weak mixture of Veg oil and Diesel? I have been toying with the idea of putting 10l of rapeseed oil in and top up with Diesel... is this likely to do any damage to the car engine? It doesn't sound like much, but Diesel is now £1.34/l whereas the rapeseed is around 90p/l. That's roughly around £4 a tank saving. Not a lot I hear you say but I fill up a tank every 8 days... I commute from Bedfordshire to Berkshire on a 4 on 4 off Shift basis so it would definitely help my economy. If it buggers up the engine then it won't be worth it, of course. Any comments? Cheers! Dan
