  1. Official Briskoda Fabia II vRS Register Date of registration: 6th May 2011 Colour: Rallye Green, Black Roof, Dark Chrome Alloy's Options fitted: Amundsen Sat Nav (with updated disk arriving shortly free of charge from my dealer) Cruise Control, GSM II Phone Prep, Multi function steering wheel for phone, Climate control, rear electric windows, glasses storage. 200 Miles down and I'm chuffed to bits!
  2. Car was ordered 18th of January, Built week beginning March 28th, Collected from the dealers Friday 6th of May. Hope this helps The reset would appear to have worked, think my random turning of the lock may have resulted in me reseting the system anyway, was most likely caused by too much button mashing on my part
  3. Returned to the car about five minutes after, the central locking worked again once then stopped, then started working again. I will try the reset in a moment to see what happens. thanks.
  4. Hi Guys, hope someone can help me sort this out. Picked up my vRS on Friday, loving it so far, have arrived home tonight and both central locking keys are refusing to work. When I put the key in the door I can only lock and unlock the drivers door, when I attempt to open the passenger doors even with the drivers door open the alarm goes nuts. Is there any sort of reset I can try because until tonight the locking and unlocking has not been a problem. Cheers.
  5. Im also a student living at home, 21 years old, commuting to work and uni, policy declared in my name with 4 years no claims (non transferable from Admiral which is a pain), also have my parents on the policy who have no claims of 20+ years each, not that they are driving it , also have access to another car aswell which would explain why I have been quoted £700 versus £2000.
  6. I spoke to a dealer about how the vRS behaved in snow (ordered in January so thought it would be a sensible question), he said that unless the traction control was switched off the car literally wasn't moving in his expierience. I'd imagine that the ESP would go some way to helping you keep on the straight and narrow though once your moving. With regard to insurance my quote has dropped from over £1000 on my mondeo estate to around £600 on the Fabia. With 4 years no claims and being 21 I really can't complain about that
  7. Was anybody else's car built week beggining the 28th of March and recieved their cars at this point? Phoned Skoda today and mine is in the UK but still no firm confirmation on when it will be sent to my dealer :wonder:
  8. Looks great ch1ccn Just to be clear on the MFSW with phone prep? Does your steering wheel have extra buttons on the right hand side of the wheel. I've got my vRS arriving shortly with this specked and can't find a picture of this £150 option anywhere, tad annoying, on that note if anyone has a picture to hand could they post one up? Cheers.
  9. Yes the total discount I got was the 20% off plus the GSM II phone prep for free. Would have felt very cheeky pushing for more. Being built next week. Specked the car in Rallye Green with, Dark Chrome Alloys, Black roof, Climate control, Amundsen Sat nav, MFSW with phone buttons, Electric rear windows and glasses storage. Not long to go now
  10. Thanks for the replies guys, Spoke to my dealer yesturday and it turns out that he was popping the GSM II phone prep in on the house on top of the sat nav and MFSW. Further sweetening the deal . Read off my factory order over the phone to put my mind at rest. Also had my build date locked in for the week after next. Should recieve the car 1st or 2nd week in April. Can't wait!! Cheers
  11. It's good to know that at least the music is working well. The dealer kept assuring me that it was in the small print that he had and couldn't be found in any brochure. As you can imagine I wont be happy if the garage have to start taking bits apart when it arrives to correct the 'problem'.
  12. Hi Bullyboy, I would have specked the Phone prep as well and wasn't worried about parting with the extra cash but my dealer told me I wouldn't need to. Does the phone work when connected via the MDI. If this is the case then I don't have a problem with plugging it in everytime as ill be using it for music anyway :p. If not i'll need to call the garage in the morning to see what can be done.
  13. I ordered my Fabia vRS on January 18th and as you can imagine im counting down the days till my green machine arrives. I have specked the car with the Amundsen sat nav system and when I enquired about the GSM II Phone prep I was informed by my dealer that I would not need this as it came as part of the package with the Sat Nav. Accordingly I also specked the multi fuction sport wheel with phone buttons. Flicking through the brochure over and over again led me to call the dealer soon after putting the deposit down as I was still uncertain, once again I was told my car would arrive ready for my phone. Can anyone confirm that this will be the case or am I going to hit the cealing when my car arrives. Cheers.
