  1. http://www.a4audi.co.uk/ are in Clydebank and get a good reputation for all VW cars.
  2. Admiral quoted me £520 on my renewal for my 2011 Vrs. I phoned them and said that I had another quote of £450 and they matched it. Easy
  3. I bought a new Vrs Dsg in May and I love it. I get around 35mpg which is a good mix. On longer or open roads I can get nearer 40mpg. I think that this is great for an auto. I bought mine from Newmarket in Stirling who done a good deal. Most other dealers around central Scotland had a very take it or leave it attitude.
  4. I've got a Vrs (petrol) and it is the best car that I have ever owned. Its got masses of power, superb build quality (my last car was a Bmw 3 series) and I still average 40mpg. Get one, you will love it.
  5. I always bang the inside of my right knee on the cubby hole to the left of the steering whell when leaving the car. It ain't half sore.
  6. Get the Octavia, you won't regret it. I used to have a Bmw 3 series and the Octavia is faster, more practical, roomier, better built and the equipment levels are good. Then there is the price, nothing comes close to it.
  7. I used to have an Auris T180 and the economy was dreadful. I averaged 34mpg if I drove like a granny and 32 most of the other time. Also the car did not feel that powerful. The interior felt very cheap with crap plastics and the brakes were woeful. Needless to say I got rid of the car after a year. They are not a patch on Octavia’s.
  8. I also collected my new car on Saturday and my dealer has quoted me £360 for 3 years or 3*10000mile services. I don't know if your car being a Diesel makes a difference.
  9. The Dsg is the best gearbox I have ever used. I had the car out on a 150 mile run today and if I had not looked at the maxidot I would never known the car was changing gear, it is so smooth.
  10. I got my new Octy Vrs yesterday. I’m loving it already, it goes like a scalded cat but is still very comfortable and as for that Dsg gearbox, it is the smoooothest gearbox I have ever used. I am only just managing to put up some pics now because I can't stay out of the car. My link My link My link My link My link My link
  11. I spoke to my dealer yesterday and I should get mine either next weekend or the weekend afterwards. I am waiting on the DVLA to do the transfer of my reg number. The dealer said that anyone ordering a DSG car will now have to wait around 6 months due to a shortage of them. I think that I just ordered mine in time as my order was placed at the end of February.
  12. Avast is much better and uses less system resources.
  13. I ordered mine at the end of February and I ain't heard anything yet. My dealer said that he would get me in before delivery to do some paperwork. So who knows whats happening. Dealers give the impression that they don't care and so never inform there customers to whats happening. They just want you to appear when it suits them.
