  2. just found out they are 195/55/h15, and should be 30 psi front and 32 rear. i have been running 32 front and 33 rear! no wonder it is a bit choppy! will redo tomoz and see how it differs

  5. Hi everyone. I have got a jan 2015 skoda fabia 1.2se, and i have just got in it after finishing work, and i cant put my seat belt on! it only pulls out so far then locks! Car is under warranty, but when i checked the warranty conditions, it doesn't cover seats belts and tensioners! Any idea what could be causing it? car has only done 35k
  6. i had this happen earlier, my interior light stopped working, and i couldnt open my boot? only from inside the boot with the lever? any ideas?
  7. had it done. was told the entire wishbone would have to be replaced at a cost of £170!!! just picked it up, and it has the same wishbone on it, just with a new rear bush fitted, which they seem to think costs £70 for a bush!!! i will be going back tomoz and kicking off!! esp when euro car parts charge 9.19 for the same bush!!!
  8. i mounted a kerb today albeit at slow speed as usual, but heard a clunk. the steering had felt a bit weird, but put it down to the weather of late. when i got out of the car, i pushed on the tread of the tyre with by foot towards the rear of the car and the whole lot moved!! So tried the nearside - solid. turned the wheel on full left lock and saw that at the back of the offside wishbone, a rubber bush was hanging out! Am I looking at a complete new wishbone? never seen anything like it before!
  9. wino, just a message to say it was the fuse! I replaced it and once i started moving heard a clunk, the abs pump kicked in and light went out. Thank you so much for your help! one very happy fabia owner!
  10. thanks wino! you have been super duper helpful! will update you once i get new fuse as to how i got on. thanks again mate.
  11. which is the abs fuse? is it one of those metal things with the wires at the end? if so which one is it? can u draw a arrow or summat? thanks in anticiaption? do i need to disconnect battery first when fitting? and will light on dash go out, or does it need to be reset?
  12. hi bud. is there any chance u could do a pic from further away so i can work out where i should be looking? got the fuse on order from local skoda dealer. thanks mate
  13. awesome. thanks mate. will check the fuse.
  14. a yellow abs light has appeared on my dash? what does it mean? is it a sensor playing up? or more serious?
  15. my 2004 fabia 1.2 htp classic has 115,000 miles on the clock. the clutch pedal biting point is near the top of the travel. it doesn't slip. is there a way to adjust the travel, or do i need a new clutch? i can hear the thrust bearing making a noise when in neutral and clutch out. any ideas? i can get a 3 piece clutch which includes thrust bearing for 49.50 off ebay. but if it can be adjusted it might save me 49.50! to my knowledge the clutch has never been changed. will have to look in service history.
  16. where is the switch? wot does it look like?
  17. right today fitted new boot handle from skoda dealer. the plastic push fit on old unit had been bodged in past and repaired using wiring crimps! so re - wired using same method. fuse in fusebox is ok. closed bootlid, opened perfect for 3 attempts then stopped working again! have also noticed that reverse lights dont work, a brand new switch, bulbs were fitted last year. fuse is ok. also interior light in roof and boot light dont work either! any ideas? I am pulling my hair out!
  18. i have a 2004 fabia 1.2 htp classic trim. my boot wont open using the key fob. there is no lever by the drivers seat as it is a base model. when u push on the rubber handle underneath nothing happens, no noise no nothing. any ideas what it is, and is it an easy job to replace?
  19. my skoda fabia 1.2 htp after a quick valet ready for his interim service tomorrow
  20. hi everyone. long time no see. my2004 fabia 1.2 htp has been behaving very well, but noticed the spanner and insp come up today on dash. it was fully serviced 23/4/15 and had insp msg reset at service. i haven't even done 4,000 miles and it come up again. one of my mates says it has a variable service indicator, which calculates ur driving style and works out ur average miles? is he right? do i need another service?
  21. i got my mate to fit a replacement from a scrapyard which doesn't leak. happy days. also splashed out on oem wiper blades. wot a big difference. will never buy motor factor ones again! now my next job is getting replacement headlights and getting them fitted. onwards and upwards!
  22. i have a 2004 1.2 htp and it's one of the best cars i have owned, and my first skoda. has been a reliable little runabout, and am slowly starting to sort the odd little 'job' out here and there. hope you get many miles of trouble free motoring
  23. hey peeps! I have found out that the pipe leading to the right angled connector on my 2004 fabia 1.2 is leaking. I phone my local skoda dealer who informed me i can't get the connector seperate, and that a new wiper motor is needed at a cost of 118 quid! I have sourced a replacement from a scrap furby for 20 quid. i noticed there are 3 bolts holding it on, but is it hard to get out without breaking back window when u bang it with a hammer? how do I change the washer jet too? thanks everyone
  24. ahh, i noticed that only my o/s rear fog light works. is it possible to fit another bulb to get 2 or not?
