  1. Perhaps they could bring in the new the new APNR tolls like we have at Dartford, The congestion toll starts at 6am and finishes at 10pm sign up and pay cheapest amount to be collected from bank account £10.00 and use it up as you go through, the discount is good with the account about 60% of the daily charge, with the overseeing company chasing those that have not paid ( they are even trying to contra-charge the foreign vehicles), the latest rough figures on vehicles not paying is 43% mostly freight , the figures they put forward before they started the new booth less toll (APNR) was 15% which they said they could live with. We are all too compliant and our Government to afraid to upset the freight hauliers. I thought most people new that all of France goes south in August.
  2. Super Skoda also do the black plastic ones for the 4x4, I bought them a couple of months ago but not able to pout on yet as extremely busy at present. These are 4 plastic protectors two for the front doors and two for the rear's
  3. The problem is the fact that the slime has some kind of PTFE in it to let it move around the tyre and allow the fine particles that fill the puncture, thus not allowing a repair at the tyre shop, its right bloody mess when they take the tyre off The older slime repair systems used delaminate the tyre from the inside, most of the local Authorities use this stuff in the ride on mower fleet it works well but as said v-messy.
  4. your precious pouch is better in the cage even for short journeys, they feel safer and therefore more relaxed, even for the shortest journey we put ours in the cage.
  5. I did this with old Yeti, dealer needs the code from the factory this takes about 10 mins and about £20.00 soo much nicer to have the Columbus to the swing
  6. Totally open all windows and then do them up this normally resets the system
  7. Hi Wizzmed, I have spoken to a guy on e-bay who will make you the gel badges he's on there as stick-it signs or just look up gel badges, he said he'd make them what ever size you wanted, he has made some already for some Skoda owners with a black background and red centre with the new badge, he can make them in any colour you want.
  8. Perhaps you should find the big hole you went down (take some photos) and make a claim against the council for the appalling state of our roads, with all the money the DVLA are getting now for the road tax (when you sell and reclaim Road tax and when the new buyer re-taxes it for the same month) the roads should soon be in the condition they are in France & Germany.
  9. Hi all Still trying to load the god dam pictures off the back of my business web site without much luck, managed to down load a picture to my profile. I will mot be be beaten on this one, must try harder.
  10. Mine is a Dec 12 pre F/L 170 Elegance wagon Still can't get the photos to load, will speak to some in the morning who's a bit more savvy than me.
  11. Hi there, I changed mine a couple of weeks ago for the top black chrome and bottom surround. I will try and add pictures later. Makes the car look meaner also 4x4 side mouldings all from superskpoda
  12. My 170cr Elegance wagon with dsg mixed driving 46ish & 55ish on the motorways
  13. Perhaps you should keep your thoughts to your self about children special needs, perhaps TFL need to see this thread and the attitude of some of its licenced drivers
  14. Hi guys, don't forget to spray with a little white silicon grease when re-installing, this always aids when you have to dis-assemble next time.
  15. I bought the "superskoda" ones, they fit a treat, being a single piece for the rear screen means it looks factory, I bought mine when they had a sale on 20% off well that the VAT taken care of, even though I've got factory tinted rears they keep the prying eyes out the car. When they arrive you will look at the rear one and think that it is much to big for the window, work it in and you don't even have to use the clips they provide, another great purchase from "superskoda"
  16. Just take them to the small claims court just the threat normally has the desired effect a letter in the local press also seems to work
  17. Put on a white shirt, black tie and every body gets out of your way.
  18. I have used this stuff for many years on the sills, leading edge of the bonnet & the leading edge of the roof to windscreen if you can buy it large enough and your front bumper is like new its stops many a stone chip, also can be used on the car body just behind the rear doors. Just using it on the sill, remove the L&K plates wet the area with a mild soapy solution ( a drop in a pint of warm water) apply to sill, this allows you movement of the sill protector, squeegee the water out, you many need to use a hot air gun or hairdryer to work the protector into the correct areas. Look on some of the Chinese web sites CEO1 or similar for this stuff at half the price you would buy it here for.
  19. Any good auto electrician should be able to sort out what you want and at a fraction of the cost you have been quoted. I would think it wouldn't come to that for OME fitted at a dealer.
  20. Most of the cars have all weather tyres, its the width of the tyre not just the diameter most are 17s or 18s, the best winter tyres are on 16s and much thinner in width therefore they cut through the snow as well as a winter tread pattern.
  21. I had the same on my 1.2tsi Yeti they changed the clutch pack, then the dual mass, eventually the dsg box, even after all this is still was not as good as the 6 speed for smoothness, put up with it for another couple of months then bought the white barge.
  22. Keep an eye on the site they often have a sale of 20% off all goods this at least take the 21% Vat your charged, buy some other bits and bring the postage cots down
  23. Further to this you can buy a boot net that fits(hangs) up under the load cover from superskoda Koacekimports Quite a useful bit of kit for light articles, I keep my work schematics, drawings in it out of the way and because its net you can see through it, pull out what you need and the rest of your stuff doesn't blow away if they were loose in the boot floor.
