I have owned number 854 since May 2016.. I am the cars 2nd owner. I bought this with 34K on the clock, now at 54K. The car is immaculate inside and out and is genuine. Alloys have been powder coated but other than that the car is in A1 condition. Used as a toy really as my daily drive is a MK3 Octavia vRS TDI, but still love the punch of a PD engine. Car bodywork is only needing the normal rear spoiler Lacquer + looking forward to detailing the car this summer. Subtle modifications may occur 🙂

I had issues with my 06 plater Octavia tdi elegance. It turned out that skoda have released 'revised' settings for the four wheel alignment of the vehicle. Mine was scrubbing tires unevenly and felt a bit skittish over bumps. A common occurance I believe Kev

Count me in, I need one of these, I spoke to V5-Steve and was going to buy his, but I was not able to buy at the time due to location. Keep me posted. a plain guard will do me fine :-)

p.s in the Skoda auto museum folder there are some pics at the end of a transporter :-) We were minding our own business having a beer in the Mlada boleslav Hlavni Nadrazi when this BEAST rumbled in....... You seriously could not see the end of the train!!! A grand prize of a quid if u can spot ur own car lol :rofl:

Once again thanks to Daren to arranging this meet! The route was excellent with a few 'hairy' moments thrown in on the route. Our little group was really ahem mooving (sorry officer:P) it must have taken some effort to put that route together. looking forward to the next one now! It was good to finaly start to being able to attend these meets. I have just registered with photobucket and I will be uploading the pics from the day tomorrow (being dragged out by the missus today) so will update this thread with a link when ready. Kev.

Hi all, I have a '06' Octavia eleg TDi and I suffered with exactly the same problem. The back end felt very twitcy especially whilst taking a roundabaout and finding a bump in the road!! Very exciting to drive :-) My rear tyres were also scrubbed badly enevenly so I promptly reported back to my local retailer. I was informed that the good old people at skoda had issued a 'Revision' to the four wheel alignment settings to the car but the changes were mainly to the rear. This is not covered under warranty either!!!! but I think that was sour grapes cos I bought an import and not from them (saving £4000 on list price ) I have the alignment carried out and it transformed the vehicle. It has driven great ever since.... Barring the 2 Dual mass flywheels that have failed of course :mad: Kev
