  1. No its all as it was when i got it, so the buttons that don't work are the up and down on the right hand side and the cruise control on the left stalk. Sorry, I didn't explain it very well. The cruise control stalk also doesn't work. it comes up on the dash saying button malfunction which makes me think its the coding. Standard steering wheel, slip / squib / clockspring ring has been replaced as was faulty (receipt in history for ring and coding but not at main dealer)
  2. Afternoon all, so i've recently picked up a 2011 SE TDI 2.0L in Aqua Blue? and overall i'm very happy with the car apart from one problem, the previous owner had the squib ring replaced as it was faulty and I have a garage receipt for coding it however it has lost use of the cruise control and the menu buttons (right side of steering controls) but the source button still works. Could this just be an incorrect coding issue?
  3. Well I've been away for a few years and strayed away onto a few other makes and models (Qashqai, Juke, T4 Transpoerter, Clio, DS4), but the Skoda badge was always on my mind. Now my old VRS TDI that I sold to a friend is still going strong (247,000 miles) and this was the nudge for me to come back and now we own two yeti's! So my wifes got a 65 reg SE TDI Outdoor in black, and I've picked up a 2011 SE TDI as my daily runner. Plans are to keep the wifes standard apart from some little bits like Heko's and some interior LED's. Mine on the other hand..... Well lets see what happens shall we LOL.
  4. I used the live feed from the cigarette lighter in the boot hooked up to a relay with the reverse feed as a switch to activate the relay. No more fuzzy lines om camera, works a treat and easy to wire in.
  5. Ok so I have a 2007 vrs estate which im replacing the bumper on due to damage. I currently have headlight washers and front ops parking sensors, the new bumper has the cut outs for headlight washers but not parking sensors, my question is, can I fit the facelift (much neater) sensors if I cut new holes for them and will the connections/mounts be the same? The old sensors look very cluttered in my opinion and would like to freshen things up a bit. any help / advice is always greatly recieved ( pics would be awesome!)
  6. You said "another battery you had" was it new? my situation was exactly the same, started next morning but any longer than that and it would struggle. if it starts fine when jump started its clearly a voltage issue. throw a brand new one on it £69.99 from halfords job done.
  7. Well I didnt manage to get any pics (Phone died lastnight) but I managed to get it all done, will give it a quick clean up and post some pics later on. The ride is greatly improved, actually handles bumps now without me loosing any teath  The ride hight is only slightly up from what I had it set to on the coilovers so I'm happy with the look of it! Whilst it was in bits I removed the drivers side hub and replaced the wheel bearing in the hope it cured the rumble I had coming from the passenger footwell and........ TA DA it cured it! so again win win! I will bang some pics up later and list the tools required for the job.
  8. I'm removing them because they're a bit crashy and for my daily commute they are fine but when i pop into town and go over speed bumps its just a bit to hard core for me! Making a start today, is it worth taking pics and documenting this?
  9. Will be fitting these tomorrow along with a few other repairs! Eibach Pro Kit 2 x ARB drop links O/S/F wheel bearing rear pads gonna be a busy bugger!
  10. put a "NEW" battery on it, job done, any drop in voltage at all and they are very picky with starting, it may crank over just fine but the voltage drop wont let it fire up.
  11. Hi, still interested in a set for my pre fl vrs estate tdi if you could PM me with info on how to purchase etc that would be brill.
  12. As above please peeps, removing the coilovers from mine and swapping to springs but wanna get an idea on looks. side on pics please peeps. Cheers.
  13. save the planet yes, but doing it to mine has reduced my fuel consumption by around 20%!
